Ah, RLK's obligatory insult about President Bush. Now the thread is complete!
----------------------------
The task to be completed isn't the thread, but the destruction of this nations by Bush and his silly-minded minions.

Whaht office do you occupy? How many minions do YOU have?
Silly minded minions (like me) are very glad that intellectual giants like you are not in charge of anything.

Well let me rephrase one of the questions then.
Do you agree with Bush on his pro-life stance, which makes an exception for rape & incest, and also allows for the use -- provisionally -- of stem cells?

.......a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage
And then is heard no more: it is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.
(Shakespeare, MacBeth)LOL.

Judge Moore has not been charged with a crime. There is no need for a pardon.
Recess appointments are only good until the end of the congressional session, as I understand. It is much better to get judges appointed permanently.
I also think you have a very naive view of the bully pulpit, which has been diminished since Reagan's day. I doubt the press would even show any sttement that was made from Alabama...and any appearance to rail against a judicial decision would be interpreted as interfering in the judiciary.
To: VeryUnprogressive
Existing stem cells, right?

I think some of us are aware of this. Your comfort level would be found in a henhouse listening to the thoughtless clucking of the chickens, or in a herd of sheep.

I never imagined so many people hated Keyes here. I'm almost sorry I started this thread.Don't be disheartened. I like Keyes as well, though I disagree with him quite strongly on a few things. I'd vote for him for any position.
His style grates on some rather strongly. Personally, I'd like to see him on the pubbie ticket just to see him massacre liberals who try to call him an 'uncle tom'.

Your intellect is only outshone by your courtesy.

Do you agree with Bush on his pro-life stance
yes... do you?
or are you a party splitter seeking to get alan keyes into the next election primary? Or perhaps, draw folks off into your own party?

Why would any conservative bash Keyes
To: RedBloodedAmerican
I was assuming you were an expert on Bush's positions, I wouldn't know. Since you apparently aren't, does that mean you don't agree with Bush either?
To: luckydevi
I'm wondering the same thing.

Keyes was fabulous as always tonight on H&C. Damn, I sure wish I had his talent for speaking!

Why would Keyes bash any conservative?
To: VeryUnprogressive
Perhaps because he made very inflammatory comments in Oklahoma during the primaries.
Perhaps because he has attacked the President on numerous occasions on everything from the stem cell decision to the war in Iraq.
Perhaps because he is a divisive person who doesn't consider anyone but himself right on any issue.
