You know what?! I shouldn't even worry... honestly it's not my problem if Hamas blows up busses filled with women and children or the IDF gunships kill terrorists and dozens of innocent bystanders.

Nice moral compass you live by, dude. You could use it as a fan if the weather gets hot. I guess, using your logic, that we don't have any moral standing to fight back against the terrorists who attacked us on 9/11, either.

Both sides are doomed to live together. And both have decided to engage in horseplay, rather than civilized negotiations and compromises. As far as I am concerned, both people deserve each other.

You've already demonstrated your ignorance about the nature of the suicide bombers. Now you've just demonstrated your rank ignorance of the political situation in Israel. Israel was prepared to give the Palestinians 96% of what they wanted. Ninety-six percent. But the Palestinians wanted more - they also held on to the desire to drive the Israelis into the sea. So Israel has no business negotiating with the thugs until such time they are too worn out to fight any more. That and only that will change the equation.

Israel Today? Why don't you look into BBC.

Checked that site as well, it generally agreed with Israel Today but did not provide specific percentages.

But I am too lazy to surf the net for that info.

Looks like you're too lazy to bother looking for any kind of facts to improve your opinions. After all, on your profile you think guns other than handguns should be severely restricted or banned, which, quite frankly, sinks my opinion of your intellect even lower than it already was.

Why don't we import them to protect us from terrorists in the US, too?

What do you expect some Egyptian troops in Nablus to do after some Palestinian nutjob blows up a bus in Jerusalem?

Hint, the same thing they do when Palestinians build smuggling tunnels from Egypt to Gaza.

Wink and nod.

See ya, KurtWaldheim.

Just out of curiousity, is Kofi a MUSLIM per chance? I almost expect to see him strap some C4 to his chest and ride the busses of Tel Aviv in unbiased support of the Middle East peace process.

Kofi's probably getting scared that Israel will eventually get around to "extra-judicially" eliminating the U.N.

Annan's replacement MAY be Bill Clinton. I'm not looking forward to the end of Coffee at all.

9/11 requiered a countrestrik. No doubt about it.

But wait - you said this earlier:

And both have decided to engage in horseplay, rather than civilized negotiations and compromises.

Well we didn't engage in compromises, we went and bombed the crap out of those who attacked us. But I guess to you, Israel does not have the right to counterstrike against terrorism conducted against it's people? 20 dead in Israel is like 800 dead in the United States, proportionate to population.

And sorry... I honestly don't have the highest opinion of Israel. I have way more respect for Paraguay and Cote D'Ivoir. And in any case, I am not an Israeli and I have absolutely no intension to live in the Middle East.

However, if you're going to comment on the subject, you owe it to yourself to become more informed on it, unless you are content to demonstrate to the forum just how misguided you are.

They thought they were immune.

Actually I thought that the UN bombing just showed one area in which we and the islamists are in complete agreement!

I hate annan and will celebrate extensivley when he's sitting in an urn somewhere.

I'll second that. He's on my list of despots whose grave I'll visit in the wee hours after drinking a vast amount of water. I hope they plant his carcass next to Klinton's, so I don't have to make two trips.

If you see a moral equivalence between Israel and the Pali's then you are no better than Kofi Annan. There is a big difference between killing terrorists and purposely targeting innocent civilians. You would certainly feel different if it were one of your family killed by terrorists. Also, I guess it doesn't bother you (or in your words "it's not your problem") that 5 Americans were killed by Hamas in that latest bombing. Why don't you go on and join the other side.

Well, your views are way to Pro-Israel to have a decent and moderate discussion.

Oh, I think Israel could do a better job in a lot of areas. However, my opinions are based upon fact, whereas you have shown a distinct lack of facts related to your opinions. So it appears the problem is not that I am Pro-Israel, but that you are pro-ignorance.

I have talked to a lot of Palestinian inmigrants... maybe you should spend some time and try to see what the other side has to say.

I was talking to Palestinians and Lebanese two decades ago - my college roomate was stuck in Lebanon for three months by the Israeli invasion in 1982 - but this story is far more complex than what one side tells you. That same roommate had been to Palestinan training camps, and the Palestinians in that camp had been brought up since day one to hate Israel and kill Jews. That is the mindset that Israel faces every day with Hamas.

I've met many Israelis and Palestinians, but I have little sympathy for the Palestinians as long as they keep terrorism as an option. Once again, they could have had 96 percent of what they wanted in the way of territorial demands - but that wasn't good enough. So much for your concept of negotiation.

Unless of course, you are one of those rabid Christian Zionists (you know, Evangelical Christians). Then there is no help for you.

Ah, so you're a bigot as well. FWIW, I've not even a Christian but a deist. That blows yet another theory of yours to pieces.

Why don't you come back once you're decided to not be lazy, when you can hold your own in an informed debate?

I am not joining the "other side" because, as an Agnostic, there isn't anything more repulsive for me than Islam.

Seems that facts are just as repulsive to you as well, along with devout Christians and moral judgements.

Well, with your hatred for Israel and the joos, I am sure, the Islamo-nutjobs would give you a pass. Why don't you change your name to Assgnostic-Jellyfish.
