Talk about the unmitigated gall, after they just killed more than 20 Israelis, including 6 kids---the IDF has not finished taking care of business yet-if I was Arafat, I would be hiding under my table...

Dozens of Hamas supporters at the scene dunked their fists in blood and soot, raised them in the air and threatened revenge, chanting "God is great." There are some good aspects to blood borne pathogens.

I can't believe that FOX referred to the Israeli Military as "militants," the same way wishy washy leftist news outlets refer to terrorists.
I'm quite peeved.

Yahoo had the headline: "Hamas Abandons Truce After Israeli Strike"
This totally ignores all the violence perpetrated by Hamas during the "truce"!

FNC has been using "militants" on air for weeks. It makes me ill.

"The Palestinian people, the Israeli people, deserve better. Those that are determined to blow up the roadmap must not be allowed to succeed." Powell is coming down on the right side of this. However, I would slightly reword his statement: "The Palestinian people, the Israeli people, deserve better. Those that are determined to blow up the roadmap must not be allowed to survive."
To: adam_az
Oops, my mistake. You said IDF as militants. That's even more pathetic than calling the terrorists "militants." Grrrrr!!!!

Will it be FOX or CNN that first places the 'militant' label on the U.S. military? It's a tough call.

I just went to the Fox site and they had the story linked in the "other headlines" section as: "Hamas: The Truce Is Over - Islamic militants declare cease-fire dead after leader killed in airstrike." So, it was probably just an editing error on their part as opposed to editorial comment, as would be the case if it were CBSNBCABCNPRCNNReutersNewYorkTimesWashingtonPost.
To: adam_az
"We consider ourselves free from this cease-fire," said Hamas official Ibrahim Hanieh. Oh, so this is different from a couple days ago when they weren't free from the cease-fire??????

If you follow that link it still says "Israeli militants" in the article.
To: adam_az
It's an AP story picked up by Fox News, although Jonathan Hunt "contributed" to the story. Probably a mistake by Fox, in the nature of a needed edit that someone missed -- they are generally staunchly pro-Israeli in their coverage.

Hamas, vowing retaliation for Thursday's attack, just two days earlier carried out a homicide bombing in Jerusalem, killing 20 people, but insisted at the time it was still observing the truce. It is impossible to relate to these people - - they do not think the way civilized humans think.
That being said, by my count, the score over the past three days is Israel - 3, Hamas - 22. What are the Israelis going to do next, bulldoze some houses? When will Israel finally get serious? If, every time a homicide bomber killed an Israeli, the Israelis wiped out a randomly selected Palestinian village from the sky, they would finally be on the road to peace. Sooner or later, there would most definitely be peace.
Of course, if Israel is not fed up by now, I don't hold out much hope that they will ever get serious.

They missed the SECOND WORD IN THE ARTICLE??
sheesh.

The three-month unilateral cease-fire was declared June 29. Hamas, vowing retaliation for Thursday's attack, just two days earlier carried out a homicide bombing in Jerusalem, killing 20 people, but insisted at the time it was still observing the truce.Kofi Annan must be furious at those evil Israelis for breaking the truce. < /sarcasm >
