Boris, I'm old enough to remember the Kennedy assassination. I was convinced right from the beginnning that LBJ was involved in it.
He had been chosen by JFK as his Vice-President because of his power in the Senate (where he had held sway as Majority Leader). I think JFK oiled him up and convinced him he'd be even more powerful as VP. Once JFK was in the WH, however, LBJ realized that he'd been used. LBJ was a vengeful man who had come up in the rough and tumble Texas politics of the late 40's and 50's.
I don't know if we'll ever know the truth in our lifetime, but future generations will know the truth.

My brother worked in D.C. at the time of the assassination. He tells me that the Inside the Beltway gossip at the time was that LBJ was behind the assassination.

On those tapes from the Johnson white house, LBJ pleads with Earl Warren to lead the commission into JFK's death. He practically begs him.

At the time of the assassination I was an electronics technician stationed on the Navy base at Keflavik. I did maintenance and repairs on radio equipment but had no access to the messages. Within hours of the event there were rumors floating around on base that Johnson was involved. Apparently some people who had top secret clearances were leaking some of the messages but I have no way of knowing what was actually coming through. I have never believed the Warren report since the first time I actually looked into it.

One of the students in my U.S. history class handed me a video which he told me would show exactly who was responsible for the Kennedy assassination. He kept after me for months before I finally watched the video. Despite my skepticism, I had to agree with him. He'd found by far the best explanation of the Kennedy assassination around.

I always thought LBJ was approached by a cabal and he signed off on it. In other words-it was not his idea but he agreed with the plotters motives and agreed to it. I think that is why he handed that evidence over to Clark and told him to put it to good use--in other words it was LBJs insurance agianst those that planned it. He was a willing but passive co-conspirator. Just winging a thought.
