You must know that the Arlington Race Track burned down...about 1984 or 85 and Duchichois re-built it...beautiful new track but I think getting squeezed by all the casinos.

I remember that. I had forgotten until you mentioned it. I've been away since '86, but I do remember know. We would get tips from some of the Old guys, and run down there for the afternoon show. It seemed as if everyone knew a guy that knew a guy that worked with the jockey's brother....LOL

Thanks. I left in 1971 and now most folks, like my sister who still lives there, don't remember.
I used to commute to the "circle" campus on the Eisenhower-Congress.

"Italian beef sandwiches are mighty fine cuisine too."
With the roll dipped in the juice and hot celery and pepper relish, it's the best.
I really miss them. I haven't had one since I left in 1990.
Wish I could find some place in S. Cal. that made them.
