... Schwarzenegger, who is seeking to replace Democratic Gov. Gray Davis in an Oct. 7 recall election, said that he would not raise taxes or cut spending to do it.

The twin pillars of fiscal conservatism, is cutting taxes and reducing government spending. This is not the rhetoric of a candidate whose a fiscal conservative. Arnold continues showing his true colors. Arnold's a liberal RINO.

It sounds like all the politicos wanna bes do the same thing Hitlery and Bill do. Have their people throw out all of the ideas and design their ads and speeches around them.

How can you tell what any of them really stand for?

Do you as a staunch conservative Reagan supporter believe every little line you read in the news media. They make mistakes just like the average human. Here's another with quotation marks....

Does this mean we are going to make cuts, yes.

Schwarzenegger said, "We must have a constitutional spending cap and must immediately attack operating deficits head on. Does this mean we are going to make cuts, yes. Does this mean education is on table, no. Does this mean I am willing to raise taxes? No. Additional taxes are the last burden we need to put on the backs of the citizens and businesses of California."

Uh...did you read the whole article? This summary statement written by the reporter does NOT match the Schwarzenegger quotes in the article itself!

WRONG

Schwarzenegger did say cuts would be made.

My, how hasty some are to leap to erroneous conclusions in their zeal to bash those they don't like (for irrational and baseless reasons).
