Your message is "screw you, you need us, so get in line, sit down, and shut up." That the message I have been getting from McClintock supporters since the recall qualified. And you got it backwards you don't need us. NO AMOUNT OF moderatre Republican voters would get McClintock enough votes to be governor or weren't you paying attention last election slick?

You know, the 20% of registered Republicans who voted but didn't vote for Simon comprise a total of 7% of the general electorate (assuming that it's 20% of 35%, which actually understates their number, because the GOP turnout is higher than registration).
Simon lost by 5%.
The RINOs, not to mention his bad campaigning, cost Simon the election.
Deal with it.

"But the war against waste ultimately transcends partisanship. The Senate district from which I was elected in a landslide in 2000 also voted for Al Gore. I can tell you that the quest to restore sound fiscal management resonates deeply in Democratic constituencies as well." -- Tom McClintock,
2001 Speech
