Fritz.....Chris Kattan
Hans.....Dana Carvey
Franz.....Kevin Nealon
Producer.....Will Ferrell
.....Arnold Schwarzenegger

Announcer: And now, it's time for the number one show for bodybuilders, Pumping Up With Fritz. Here's your host, Fritz!

(Fritz enters)

Fritz: (whining) Hello everyone. I'm Fritz and I want to build you up because you are weak and tiny. First, let's start with some push-ups.

(gets in positions and starts doing push-ups painfully)

Fritz: Oww...1...Ouch...2...That hurts...3

Producer: (interrupting Fritz in his push-ups) Stop it Fritz. Just stop it. You're so weak how can you host a training program?

Fritz: I'm doing my best.

Producer: Well that's WAY below our demands. I'm sorry but you're fired.

Fritz: (crying) I FAILED!!!

Producer: Oh, please, shut up! We already found your successors. They're from Austria and are bodybuilding since 1987 so they ought to be good.

Off-Camera Voice: (with an heavy German accent) Ya! Hear me now and believe me later, Fritz! We have much more pump-tential that you do, lamer!

(Hans enters)

Hans: That's right, 'cuz I'm Hans...

(Franz enters)

Franz: And I'm Franz...

Together: And we want to pump (clap hands) you up!

Hans: Now get outta here, girly man! (throws Fritz off-stage)

Franz: Ahh...finally reunited after all these years. It's great to be back to pump up flabby little girly men like we did before.

Hans: Ya. I hope the pump-a-tude is better today than it was back in the 80's. 'Cuz it was really crappy.

Franz: Ya. It truly sucked donkey ass.

Hans: You bet, Franz. Hey everybody you know what? We thought for our mega comeback we should invite our famous cousin.

Franz: Ya, you know him. He starred in many movies like "Terminator", "Total Recall" and "Jingle All The Way".

Hans: This last one was pretty bad, wasn't it?

Franz: Ya. So, ladies and gentlemen, please welcome...

Together: ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER!

(Arnold Schwarzenneger enters)

Arnold Schwarzenegger: Thank you, Hans (shakes hands). Thank you, Franz (shakes hands). I'm so happy to see you again, dear cousins.

Hans: So do we, Arnie. Now, how about we tell them what the average girly man looks like?

Arnold Schwarzenegger: Of course!

Franz: Hey! Bring that moron back here!

(Fritz is thrown back on stage)

Fritz: (scared) Wha...What do you want from me?

Arnold Schwarzenegger: Don't be afraid, we're not gonna hurt you. We'll just show people how flabby you are.

Hans: That's right. Now, look at this toothpick everyone. No muscles. Not even a speck of pump!

Franz: Pathetic bone-head! You dare to host a bodybuilding program without any muscle? What do we say to this girly man cousins?

Hans, Franz and Arnold: Poor little girly man, lone in his girly house!

Arnold Schwarzenegger: Well, Fritz. Here's a treat for your girlfriend, if you have one.

(all three show off their body to Fritz)

Fritz: I can't stand any more of this humiliation. Farewell! (runs away crying)

Franz: Right, and don't even try to come back, un-pumped coward!

Hans: Ya! Well that's all the time we had for today.

Arnold Schwarzenegger: We'll see you next week.

Franz: Ya! We'll be here to...

Together: Pump (clap hands) you up!

Hans: Oh, one last thing...

Together: Live from New York, it's Saturday (clap hands) Night!

There is very little likelihood that the courts will void the energy contracts. This is a very weak reed.

On the other hand, there isn't much threat of a boycott by producers.

"Schwarzenegger's campaign said Friday that the actor supports Proposition 13," from the Mercury News article.

Just in case you didn't see that line in the bash Arnold article.;-)

He flat-out waffled on the raising taxes issues, which everyone seems to be ignoring. ("Never say never.")

I join Miss Marple's call for a transcript, as my understanding was he qualified his "never say never" by citing an extreme circumstance like a terrorist attack or some unforeseen catastrophe.

Democrats, Republicans bicker in California recall

Simon's campaign announced it had begun running radio ads chiding Schwarzenegger after the actor's top economic adviser, billionaire Warren Buffett, said he believed California's famed Proposition 13 had driven the state's property taxes too low.

``Gray Davis tripled our car taxes, and now Arnold Schwarzenegger's team wants to triple our property taxes,'' Simon said in the ad. ``Which just goes to show you, don't send a liberal to do a tax-fighters job.''

Schwarzenegger spokesman Rob Stutzman accused Simon, who ran against Davis last year, of misrepresenting the actor's positions.

``Bill Simon looks like he learned a lesson from Gray Davis last year and is putting distortions on the air,'' Stutzman said. ``He knows as well as anyone that Arnold Schwarzenegger is a staunch supporter of Prop 13 and to say anything else is disingenuous.''

Just to be sure, the campaign released a paper statement from Schwarzenegger reiterating his support for the tax-cutting measure, a popular rallying point for conservatives.

``Warren and I have talked about Proposition 13, and he clearly understands my strong unequivocal support for the initiative,'' the statement read. ``I expect many dynamic ideas and policy recommendations from my team. But with regards to my position on Proposition 13, my position is rock solid in support of that initiative.''

Well, I've certainly learned how to spell Schwarzenegger, which I notice no one in the media has dared to translate.

"If we can't support someone who is really a conservative then what exactly has the Republican party become? If we have to vote for someone who is in all respects a liberal because he sports an R by his name whats the point."

The point is to be pragmatic. The point is to be patient. The point is to disaffect the many Californians whom have bought into the liberal lies that Republicans are evil. The point is to re-introduce conservative ideals in California slowly and to show that they can work. Whether or not you agree with Schwarzenegger if he manages to get elected in a state where Democrats dominate. And he manages to turn the economy around and bring the jobs back, EVEN with policies you may disagree with.

It will look good for the party as a whole.

Don't forget that Reagan ran as moderate in California as well.

Exactly. One thing that we seem to lack on this forum at times, is patience. We allow the Dems to carp about 'no-visible-plan' then we join in as if we thought of it.

We have six weeks to go. I defy any other candidate to make a better presentation on the subjects Schwarzenegger addressed today.

Schwarzenegger was simply brilliant for his first time before the press. His plan was detailed and as open as it could be for this time frame.

I think everybody needs to sit back and relax a little.

Give A.S. more than a day to campaign and get his ideas out.

The fact is that, absent a policy paper or a statement on his positions, all of this talk about him not being "conservative" is speculation.

Give him 10 days on the campaign trail in this abbreviated election cycle, and then we'll see if he is worth supporting or not.

Lets all be unbiased and stick to the issues.

Sorry but that is CTA propaganda. Do not take my word for it - go to a local Site meeting and check the budget.

There was supposed to be a 1 to 1 ratio of parent to teacher sitting on the councils so that shenanigans would not ensue with those funds; so to circumvent that, some strong CTA types "swap" seats as a parent advocate in one another's school. So you have teacher-parents sitting on those councils dictating how the money is spent.

This is illustrative of the need for major audits.

Schwarzenegger Makes Statement on Prop. 13

“I am extremely pleased I will be able to draw upon the wisdom of my friend Warren Buffett and other giants on the world stage such as Secretary George Shultz not only during this campaign, but also once I become governor.

"Warren and I have talked about Proposition 13, and he clearly understands my strong unequivocal support for the initiative.

“I supported Proposition 13 25 years ago, and I support it today. Two months ago I was honored to serve as the keynote speaker at the Howard Jarvis Taxpayer Association Proposition 13 silver anniversary gala.

“Twenty-five years ago, the people rose up and demanded relief from outrageous property taxes. The politicians of California at that time were unresponsive to the people’s needs. Elderly Californians on fixed incomes were afraid that they could lose their homes. So the people showed the politicians who was the boss

“Today, we are involved in a recall election because we again have a governor and government who have been unresponsive to the needs of the people.

“This is the principal reason I decided to run for governor. I am calling together the brightest minds in the business, financial and investment communities from throughout this state and country to help put California’s economy back on track and to help me formulate my economic agenda.

“I expect many dynamic ideas and policy recommendations from my team. But with regards to my position on Proposition 13, my position is rock solid in support of that initiative.”

I liked him, too! But I expected this from Arnold. He has been a behind the scenes participant in politics for a long time, and he is very smart and knowledgeable, having sat in on lots of high level meetings over the years and having earned more money in business investing than from movie salaries.
