Our enemies' initial "Mogadishu Strategy" - based on the faulty notion that if you kill Americans they pack up and go home
I can't really blame them for tghinking this, from the early 80s until 9-11 this has been the case. I don't think they understand that it's a new day, and they are on the top of our hit parade.

I don't think they understand that it's a new day, and they are on the top of our hit parade. I agree. In fact, we have Osama on tape telling his followers about Mogadishu and how weak we must be to run out of there after only 18 casualties. I suppose we could have kicked Syrian and Iranian butt after the Marine barracks bombing, but the Cold War was the primary front at the time, and had to be won.
