But luckily some of us know the difference between what he said and what the media wants us to think he said.

...replace one idotic Democrat, with an even bigger idiotic Democrat

I believe you're making a valid point there. But that's why I also believe Arnold will split the Dem vote, because some Dem voters may already see Cruz as part of the "loser" team. That's why I think those Dems will vote for Arnold.

McClintock is like the experienced captain who CANNOT WIN a FIFTY-DAY campaign.

Dan, Thanks for your reply.

As to the above excerpt from your post, no, that is not at all what I am saying. McClintock is already a senator. Clearly he already won some elections, but, outside of his district, he may not be so well know. I think that is a rasonable observation. You are taking to an extreme that makes no sense. We don't know if he can win. But he certainly won't win if he doesn't increase his name recognition. I think 50-50 is about where his chances now, as it could go either way, depending on what happens next.

Re your post #79 -- Next, I don't think you did get part of the point of my essay. Schwarzenegger has what he needs to start, which is name recognition

No, I disagree again. I think what happened is that you missed the point of all these editorial cartoons I posted. These people, from all around the country, who can NOT be labled "right wing wackos," as Davis might say, are making the point that beyond the name recognition Arnold has, what is there? And, that is a question you did not answer in your essay. I answered in my reply to you. What he has is not related to the job he is seeking, as far as I can tell.

In short, Arnold wants to be the captain of the team, but so far, he has only been on the field for the purpose of providing half-time entertainment. Yet, you say he is now ready to lead the team to victory in the Super Bowl no less. With all due respect you, I sincerely disagree. But, time will tell which of us is correct on that point.

Doesn't he also have a Masters in some business area?

No, he only has a bachelor's degree. I believe its in business. But, that is OK with me.

He has actually succeeded at several careers; he has showed great focus and self-discipline. In this, he has it over may "professional" and "experienced" politicians who never had real jobs

Yes, I will agree with that about Arnold.

Now, consider this: I, too, have succeeded at several careers. And, I too have great focus and self-discipline. BTW -- I also earned my Masters.

Consequently, if I was a resident of CA, would I be more qualified than he is to now be CA governor?

According to your reply, the answer seems to be: yes.

You're right. It's because he's dumb enough to make himself an easy target.

I suppose you would say the same of Bush, huh?

Rob Lowe is not an advisor, as you take it...YOu have a problem with that?

That's the word I have heard and see reported with respect to Rob Lowe. You are the only one who has a new and different definition for what he is to Arnold.

And, yes, I have a problem with men who have sex with underage girls. Because often those underage girls get pregnant, and when that happens, that is often the end of those girls' education. I know that is not the concern of guys like Rob Lowe, but if I was running for gov of CA, I would politely ask Rob Lowe and others like him to stay as far away from my campaign as possible.

I have no belief whatsoever that he currently has the skills, talents and intellectual capacity required to govern the state of CA.

Then you missed today's press conference.

I'm waiting to see it. So far the press is saying he didn't really say anything. Again. He didn't say what programs he would cut. He copied what Simon is saying: "First, CA needs an audit." So, what did you see that was new and difference and specific?

It is too big a job for someone with no experience whatsoever in government.

Then you favor keeping Davis or Bustamante?

I think my post #1 made it crystal clear who I favor at this point -- though I am not a CA voter, so it doesn't really matter.

His picture is not as piutch black as you paint it.

Dan, actually, I think I was quite kind and generous in my portrayal of Arnold-the-CA-Gov-Candidate. After all, I did not post the following cartoon, from reply #12, which some may find is far more pointed than anything I wrote about Arnold:

So far the press is saying he didn't really say anything.

Don't you realize that the press is biased for Bustamante and against S? They want the republican vote away from S and split to get Bustamante in.

Dan, I leave you with this thought, below, because I enjoyed chatting with you -- and, I still think McClintock could win this recall:
