Anyone who badgers Arnold about specifics hasn't done their homework. If they did, they would know Arnold has taken positions on everything from family values to creating jobs. Just click to the Arnold FAQ (unofficial site)

Anyone who thinks Arnold is a liberal is also seriously mistaken. Click here for the Inside Scoop.

You know we've hit rock bottom when liberals and McClintock supporters are using the same lines, same talking points, and same editorial cartoons to make their point.

I hope McClintock wins, for the good of CA.

That may indeed be the case, but the reality is that we may have to live with second best in what is good for CA. At his current poll figures, ~5%, McC is not going to make it. How does he of relatively no name attact five times the voters he has now among a circus of 195 candidates?

And second best is not a governor with a (D) after his name, but one with an (R). Arnold may not be perfect, but why kick up all the fuss and win a recall to just abandon the race because our best guy can't win?

Religious purity plays well on FR, but ti won't win on the ballot in CA. It did not last year. Arnold at least has a movie persona that would make voters think he could pull it off. The liberal media is obviously convinced he will win, unless they can get enough of their whining enablers among the conservative talk show hosts to run him down so that their guy, Bustamente, can win.

Don't be so sure Arnold couldn't pull it off. And give me any convincing arguement that a religiously pure conservative can win in October. Conservative ballot initiatives can win in CA, but they go one on one, yes or no, black and white. Not 195 shades of Grey and not Grey - sorry about that.

Maybe these other guys I pinged will find some time to respond to your question, capocchio. (I am in FL.) I can only hope the best for CA -- but, I am not al all convinced the best is Arnold.

I'm not a Californian, but I am an American and I have a political opinion.

I know exactly whats going on in the Golden State. People are falling all over themselves to get on the Arnold bandwagon. People have become infatuated with Arnold and his megastar personna and public hijinks. It would appear that substantial policy agenda and detailed/specific plans aren't important to many of the Golden States residents. So be it.

McClintock is down in the polls from where he should be and the only people to blame for that, are the Californian Republicans. Of which many are conservative.

I with you, summer. "I am not at all convinced the best is Arnold", either.

It's such a weird thing what's happening out there, but weird in a way not being discussed by anyone on tv.

I'm not in CA either, but my take on it is this:

(1) Davis is doing a super lousy job;
(2) Arnold may well be an even bigger disaster; and so:

(3) We see Dem Diane Feinstein, who knows the above, and wouldn't mind seeing Arnold win and do a worse job than Davis, so: she is telling people not to vote for anyone in part 2 of the ballot because then that helps Arnold win (and not Bustamante).

(4) And, whoever gets in and does a worse job than Davis will surely take down his political party with that failure. So, Diane Feinstein is hoping it's Arnold who wins; not Bustamante.

That's just my opinion. Meanwhile the candidate who has the best chances of actually helping CA is being ignored by many in his base. The base would be better off if Bustamente wins and blows it. Then, finally, CA voters may elect someone better. But this recall seems to be hijacked by a bunch of Hollywood hype, when in fact the issues at stake are quite serious.
