The article may be a year and a half old, but this seems like a good time to re-post is just to refresh people's memories about the nature of our enemy.

According to Islamic doctrine no territory may leave Islamic rule once it has been conquered by Islam. Israel exists on what was once Muslim ruled (Turks and others) land. The Islamics want this turf back, will never accept Jews having their own nation there, no matter how small Israel is.
Islam views the world as divided into the Dar el Harb, or the world of war and Dar el-Islam or the world of Islam. The radical Muslim believes he's commanded by Allah to engage in Jihad, or holy war, against the Dar el Harb or the non-Muslim world. Because of its geography, Israel is on the front line in this Jihad. The radical Muslim will not rest until Israel is returned to the Dar el-Islam. Jews not killed or driven out, in the radical Muslim view, would be allowed to live as dhimmis. This is what they think of as tolerance. Crux of the conflict: Israel must, according to Islam, be viewed as the conqueror of a land that once was under Islam, and therefore must always be, under the Dar el-Islam - the House of Islam. This is the starting point, in the Arabs' minds, of any negotiations with Israel, irrespective of historical right or the letter of international law. With this in mind, it is little wonder that the Palestinians - 10 years into the "peace" process - continue to view Israel as an enemy and teach their children to do the same. Nor should it be surprising that the Palestinians view violent acts of brutality against the Israeli "conqueror" as a perfectly legitimate means of regaining a land that - while it was never a sovereign Palestinian Arab entity - was once firmly in the grasp of Islam. What the West fails to understand, however, is that the Palestinians are not truly driven by the letter of international law, but rather by another force - Islam. The tenets of Islam will never allow the Arabs to view Israel as an entity that may actually have a legitimate claim to the land, but is nonetheless willing to trade that claim for peaceful coexistence.

"In all the time since, they had made no attempt to create an independent Palestinian state west or east of the Jordan and none was ever established."
Of course not...up until the "jewish" problem, these so-called Palestinians were happy being Jordanian and Syrian Arabs. Even at the Arab Conference, Jordan refered to the Palestinians as (para) "our people, who share a common language and culture." Unfortunately, after the establishment of Israel, the prospects of sharing was out of the question. Interestingly, as much as Israel gets bashed for their treatment of the Palestinians, it is their own Arab brethren who have treated them even worse. Ahh...but that treatment is justified in their eyes becasue of Arafats early desires to cause inserections in Jordan and Lebanon. Only is it when Israel defends its sovereignty is there a problem.

Excellent article. The comment re the historic stateless nature of Jews made sense and answers the question as to why the contempt has continued for so long.
As for the muslim fanatics, one can only wonder at the incredible ignorance that drives these savages to think and do what they do!

The day will come for the Jews when Jesus returns and destroy's the evil inflicted by satan and his followers.
My heart goes out to all the innocent people in Israel that are dying due to the hatred the Middle East is putting upon them with Suicide bombers.
Unfortunately I do not believe this war will be one that any military force will be able to conqueor, or any peace talk.
Divine Intervention will be the only way to stop this violence in the Middle East.

One thing in that article is plain false.
The so called 6-day war in 1967 was started not arabs but Israel. Israel furtively attacked Egypt. It was most victorious war for Israel too. You see jews wasn't alway victims.
Other things biased too. Article presumed that captain Drefus was innocent. But there was namy instances when jews spied for germans during ww1.
Article named arabs as nomads. But we all know that those who build first civilization in Methopotamia then Egypt was who later become arabs. They wasn't nomads at all.
PLO was created in 1964. But it doesn't mean that palestinians didn't fight isaraelites before 1964.
I may go and go like this but I think that is enough.
Sorry I know that I undermine good tradition on that board to favor to Israel. But cann't help it when I see such an article:) which try to benefit on ignorance. I began to think "whom they want to fool?" Author have to do better.

Why Israel Is The Victim And The Arabs Are The Indefensible Aggressors In the Middle EastEnough already with the victim schtick.
Nobody cares, and it makes Israel more of a target.
Fight and win the war, or evacuate. Those are the choices that exist for the Jews of Israel.
No more endless blah, blah, blah about international law and UN resolutions.
Kill your enemies, or move to Fort Lauderdale. It's come down to that.
