UNITED NATIONS -- U.N. envoy to Iraq, Sergio Vieira de Mello, said protecting the Iraqi people was his main priority when he took the job.
Vieira de Mello, 55, died when a truck drove into the U.N. headquarters in Baghdad laden with explosives. Although he managed to make a phone call from the ruins of the building, he later died.

>How does that justify terrorism and murder? In any event, the United States government lawfully entered into the United Nations Charter.
Hitler lawfully
became leader. Good Germans
didn't shoot the guy.
But many Germans
would not have cried if someone
had gunned down the guy.
Good Americans
aren't terrorists and don't
wreck UN buildings.
Many citizens,
however, don't waste their tears
at UN craters...

Speaking of McVey, does this not lend credence to the theory that McVey was an Islamist pawn?

THIS former soldier fully agrees.
The I would also not shed a tear if the UN building became a landfill.
Besides, almost everyone in that building is a crook anyway.
Remember the food service contract lapsing, and the UN-ites literally ransacking the cafeterias?

"The I would" = "I would"
Ignore "the", I didn't fully backspace out the previous 'thought' in that place.

"...islamofascists see the UN as a pro-homosexual, pro-abortion, pro-population control, pagan instutition."
And in this, are they mistaken? Not that they should be blowing up the UN, by any means, but you know what they say, even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

No, they're not mistaken in believing this, but I find the irony too good to pass up.
The ones most prone to saying "We have to search out the root cause of terrorism then address it" are usually those who are 100% Pro-UN.

Agree with your premise here and your conclusions.
My reply was referencing only the UN with whom I have no political agreement; but still, do not want to see their peacekeepers/civilians targeted for violence and death.

"Speaking of McVey, does this not lend credence to the theory that McVey was an Islamist pawn?"Does what lend credence . . . that Cobra64 would be impliedly happy if the UN building in New York was destroyed in manner similar to the Oklahoma Federal Building?

The simple matter of the kind of weapon used: a vehicles loaded with explosives.

*LOL* Oops! My bad! I forgot to consider just how hard a life they live... Not to mention how tiring it must be having to police the bookstores, and re-stock "Living History" over top of all of the copies of "Treason".

I do not think that the mere fact that Timothy McVeigh used a vehicle laden with explosives is of any help in trying to link McVeigh to islamic terrorists. The technology is simple, and the methods have long been in the public domain. It is like saying that a llink can be drawn between white supremacist Buford O. Furrow Jr. and islamic terrorists because they both used firearms in certain instances to murder innocent people. Attempting to make a link based solely on the weapon used is far too oversimplistic.
