Maybe it's not his fault - maybe some inmates got sick of him hanging around, and so they told him to "Piss off"...??
So he did.

Good. The way we run the prisons in this country is shameful. Yes, most criminals are inherently garbage, but the last thing you want to do is to let any of them back out on the streets after the prisons have taught them that the rule of law is relative as the guards mistreat them, and allow rampant rape and battery to occur inside the walls.

They should serve the time in the same cell block as those they relieved themselves on, maybe they could resolve their differences and become much "closer".
Sounds like a rather light penalty, how much time would joe sixpack get for doing the same to a cop?

I suppose they'll execute the con who catches up with this guard in the not too distant future. Just desserts all around I suppose.

Ought to put them in the same cells as the inmates they urinated on.

Wanna-be cops with power tripping egosI knew a guy who was a prison guard. He would agree with you. Not all were bad but the bad ones were really bad and the adminstration loved them.

Prison guards. Wanna-be cops with power tripping egos. (Flame Away!)One of my sons was a prison guard. 5 Years at Idaho State near Boise, and 3 years at Oregon state in Ontario.
He told me it's common for guards to be attacked, harrassed verbally, have fecal material (crap for those of you in Fresno, Calif) thown at them. He says it's part of the job, and a guard must NEVER show weekness.
As far as ego trips go... it's possible. But he told me if you treat the them fairly, they'll respond fairly. He could've become a parolle officer, howvever, that can be dangerous as well.

Has anyone considered that the guard might have had a bladder infection which caused him to have to urinate suddenly?....and from a worker comfort issue, shouldn't there be portajohns located at intervals along the walls and rooftops so this kind of situation never has to happen again?
Sheeh, everyone is jumping to conclusions.

I admit I was generalizing and I'm sure your son is a fine young man. I come from a family of police officers and have many friends who are police officers. Most agree that a large number of prison guards are police applicant wash-outs who long for a uniform and control over others. BTW, my wife is a former deputy sheriff and says she can spot a wanna-be police officer a mile away. She also agrees that after having dealt with guards, they fall into this category.

I agree; prison guards are the guys who can't even meet the minimal standards required of cops.
That guy should never again be given authority over anything more animate than a shovel.
