I take it back that CNN has more even coverage. They are now interviewing Jamie Rubin who is saying this is a major set-back and we have opened a Pandora's Box in Iraq.(forgetting I guess that Hussein supported Palestinian terrorists as well as others well before our invasion).

Watch the pols and pundits today and keep track of how many are more outraged today over an attack on the UN than attacks on our troops.
Dan Springer live from Baghdad on FN says the attacker drove through a steel fence in something as large as a cement mixer, into the lobby - filled with people - and detonated the bomb. At least 50 people are digging for survivors in the rubble.

Isn't a delegation of US congressmen over there right now? Or did that get cancelled?

That's why Iran has to be next. Not only for Israel, but for us too. The Mullahs are are very, very dangerous.

But note that FNC didn't follow up and ask if there WAS NOT good security around the UN building BUT you couldn't get a car near it, why has the security so obviously DECREASED because now a car has gotten near it.

CNN is reporting the UN didn't want that many guards around the building because they didn't want to be like the Americans.

Some truck like a cement mixer was drive through a fence and was what carried the bomb according to FOX That sounds like the bombing of the synagogue in Tunisia, where a gas truck drove into the synagogue and exploded.

Judging from the photos and descriptions of the size of the blast, it would be amazing if no one died in this attack. I suspect we will be hearing rising death tolls all day. Prayers for our troops and others in harm's way.

FN is reporting this? I'm at work but would have guessed that Fox was showing either the Britney video, or a Kobe video.

That makes me real comfortable with the UN acting as peacekeepers - they can't even guard their own facilities, much less "keep the peace".

If there was no stand-off from the bulding then this was a disaster waiting to happen. And we're supposed to get involved with and cede authority to an organzation that can't even protect its own people properly, Rep. Nadler?
To: Ragtime Cowgirl
I'm sure you're right. More Rats outraged at attacks against the UN than against our own soldiers. sigh
