Nothing on the cable channels. Local OKC News that is getting feeds out of Tulsa said that more areas are being evacuated. Wind is carrying the smoke for some distance.

MSNBC has breaking news they can't turn away from. It seems they're bashing President Bush on Iraq.
CNN covering the heatwave in France.

Good catch with the web cams, Wolfi...
My son and daughter-in-law left that area late last year...
Prayers for the unlucky ones, those that were working in the area or driving through...
Industrial gasses are going to make several square miles of Tulsa a very nasty place for awhile.

As they do with just about any other news except the items that fit their agenda.

"CNN covering the heatwave in France."
Apparently the French surrendered after losing up to 5000 folks.
To: PhiKapMom
The National Media is worthless IMHO! To not have this on the cable news just shows how little they think of all of us out here. Hiccup in NY or CA and it is all over the news!>>>>>
NOTHING on any of the four Dallas, TX stations either.....

Northwest Cable News (Seattle area) is showing the video from the local Tulsa station -- not a thing on the big cable networks. Now NWCN has switched to a "normal" house fire in the Seattle area -- typical.

Phosgene is also a specialty gas that is used for produceing computer chips. Arsine which is a gaseous form of Arsenic is also used in chip manufacturing. Each is a dopant to make the positive and negative regions in a computer chip or memory.
The Kingman reference may be in regards to Praxair Semiconductor gases which are manufactured out in the desert far from populated ares. BTW the residue of the arsine manufacturing process is sold to avocado farmers as a fertilizer!!!

These are MSDS's for AirGas products.
Praise God for the high winds - will help disperse any real nasty stuff.

I pinged Becky too. I don't know how close she is to this.

Phosgene only occurs if the refrigerants are chlorine-based (CFC's - the older types like R12, R22, R502, etc. and the somewhat newer transition refrigerants - HCFC's). All the latest refrigerants on the market are HFC's, made with no chlorine. [Thanks to the EPA and other global warming folks.]

If there was a car chase near the explosions, FOX News would be there in a heartbeat. Yeah I was wondering why no Fox coverage.
