They are working very, very hard she says. Yes, let's just talk about it. She is notorious for forming task forces, etc. Looking for more drivers to get it here faster.

Now she is saying that various parts of the valley are more effected. This is true. Pres. of Kinder Morgan is coming to meet with her. Asked DEQ for assistance. Says we should not top off and restrict our demand. Do not buy what you don't need.

They were calling for restraint last night. And ofcourse, there were many filling up multiple gas cans along with their tanks!

I rec'd a response from a former state senator and this is what this person had to say about it:

"she has the power by exec order to lift the restriction that arizona must use a special formulated fuel for summer months. there is plenty of it in calif. and they are ready to send it. however, janet won't do it probably because it would offend her envirowack friends. as a comparison, she'll rename a peak and grant rights to gays by exec order. but when it comes to real needs by the public, she'll side with her special interest friends. she's a do nothing governor. as AG, she also had the authority to stop the alt fuel debacle based on a contract provision, but she didn't... same for the stadium."

Thanks for that ammuntion er..I mean information.

Why, do I just have a feeling rolling black outs aren't too far behind??

I have just called six stations on my husbands way back from work and all are out. Safeway at Chandler Heights and Alma School told me they won't have any until next week possibly longer.

The desert FReep was fun. I was thinking it was one of the recount fiasco demonstrations at the state capital.

I was actually out of the country for the whole election debacle. Else, I would certainly have been to a few of those.

I am up for any gov. recall events. hehe

Well, they're working on one for Arnold Schwarzenegger. The problem is, we have as many anti-Arnold FReepers as we do pro-Arnold FReepers, both are legion.

I wouldn't want to be responsible for creating a full-scale riot between people who are all Republicans. The recall gets stranger and stranger.

One Phoenix area station, at least, was selling gas at $3.79 a gallon today - and sold out, no problem.
A news station said they found only 2 out of 8 gas stations open in central Phoenix today.
In her press conference this afternoon Ms Napolitano said the gas industry is "broken" in Arizona and the government has to step in and fix it. That's pretty much what she said. Of course she also said she has to plead with the Feds to loosen the enviro regulations so Phoenix can use regular gas instead of the "special Phoenix blend".

"Friends in California, Utah, Georgia, and Pennsylvania had not heard about this problem we are having"

I was in court in Tucson yesterday and no one there including the judge had heard about out little problem up here. Seems the gov is keeping this under wraps pretty well.
