The ACLU filed its lawsuit on Aug. 7 claiming voters in at least six counties would still be using the error-prone ballots if the vote is staged on Oct. 7, as planned. The suit seeks a delay until the next regular election in March 2004.

If the ACLU has invented the ultimate stupidity proof ballot, I'm sure everyone would like to see it.

Oh, but they have. Stalin, Mao, Castro, and Kim Il Jung field-tested it. Saddam used it quite successfully in the last election in Iraq.
