I tried wrapping some week-old fish in an old NYT the other day but the fish jumped out.

Said the paper stunk.

Continuing to savage the New York Times for its gross errors in reporting and its political bigotry is an essential task. Those who undertake to do that should be commended, because it is hard-slgging work. One must be well-armed with facts to attack the Times, and this author is.

The only reason I did not include a Times article in my recent column, "Death by Typewriter," is that the Times seldom writes articles that will get specific people killed. On the other hand, the general reporting of the Times is to bring about, and then celebrate, the death of American culture. So, anything that damages the Times is good for America. IMHO.

Congressman Billybob

Latest column, "Nuts and Bolts in California" posted on FR, also published in San Francisco and on UPI.

The article fails to mention one of the most egregious errors that the NYT has made since the change of management. Last Sunday the paper ran a front page story about US soldiers being killed in Iraq, sourcing unnamed high military officials. It turns out that there was only one source, a private and the whole story was a propaganda lie. The private has never been located.

Liberal editors are like lobsters: they live off the feces that sink to the bottom, and when confronting one another, engage in cannibalism.

Does anybody know what Gregg Whiteside said to be fired from WQXR by the NYT? Considering that we're talking about the NY Slimes, and that Whiteside's job involves classical music, I suspect he was slurring somebody for being gay. But I wonder if the person he was slurring may not have been Pinch. Would certainly explain the firing, without severance pay, no less.

Thanks for the ping. I'm amazed things are this bad.

Such racial gangsterism is a big reason why Mayor Marion Barry was able to destroy Washington, D.C. In Volunteer Slavery, Jill Nelson, who felt a similar protectiveness toward Barry, and corresponding hatred toward white journalists who lacked such feelings, brags of her success in manipulating an unflattering story on the mayor.

A black woman had charged Barry with having raped her. Nelson got the word “rape” dropped from the story, in favor of “forced,” so that readers ultimately would not know what the woman said Barry had done to her. “Woman Says Barry Forced Her Into Sex; Mayor Calls Testimony ‘Not Believable.’” Nelson later exulted, “Now that's spin control.”

This is a very good read. Newspapers are dying a slow death. Propaganda machines like the Times are dying more quickly. Justice is perverse, the liberals cling to defending a public education system which does not prepare its students to read much of anything whether it be news or propaganda, and it is the failure of that they defend that will be their undoing.
