There's a reason for that; you're not supposed to. If the Zebra and other numerous black serial killers were properly publicized, how could the media and law enforcement always repeat the line with a straight face, about serial killers being predominantly white males?

MOST SERIAL KILLINGS in America take on a life of their own through movies, books and documentaries. The crimes of Charles Manson, Jeffrey Dahmer and The Son of Sam are still well remembered years after they were committed. Yet there is one set of serial killings that has been almost completely forgotten and is rarely mentioned in popular culture.

The Zebra Killings occurred in the San Francisco bay area between 1972 and 1974 and left 71 people dead. They were dubbed the Zebra Killings because of the radio channel used by the police investigating the case (channel Z). The name would take on a more sinister meaning as it became apparent that a group of blacks was systematically stalking and killing whites simply because of the color of their skin.

Zebra (1979) was written by crime writer Clark Howard and remains the definitive book on the murders. Using court records, police reports, witnesses and interviews with the killers themselves, Howard was able to piece together the horrid details of the murders and the unrelenting hatred that inspired the killers.

I'm waiting to see if the driver simply heard the shot, panicked and took off out of the line of fire as fast as his wheels could carry him...and to hear the words "Like a Duck in a Noose" again...then we'll know for sure that Moose has hired himself out as a law enforcement consultant.

Someone sighting a pickup with a large white man in it speeding from the scene is not enough to really mean a lot.

I suppose that West Virginia being mostly White, that it would be a good guess that it is a White man. On the other hand no one would ever make that presumption if a Black man were seen speeding away from the scene in Washington DC, profiling only goes one way.

No offense but black people tend to be noticed in parts of WVA. I was there two weeks ago for a wedding and when we stopped at a restaraunt 7 guys showed up and stared at us through the window from the parking lot. As we left and got into our car some of them yelled "Welcome to West Virginia, n----rs." I suspect that the WestVA copycat blends in with the majority of the population.

I have seen the scenario you describe or something similar maybe a thousand times...on TV or in the Movies.

I grew up in the deep South and have never seen it happen in real life, not even once.

That is not to say it didn't happen but tho.

I would imagine, if you could listen into one of these guys' conversations, you would find that these guys hate everybody.

They hate niggers, jews, catholics, protestants, baptists, out of staters, people who went to a different high school, people who live up the street and people who live down the street.

They are all the same.
