We must not be silent while every vestige of God is removed from our public life and while every public display of faith is annihilated. -- True; but at the same time, "Thou Shalt Not Steal".

For me, it makes a big difference whether Moore is permitting a display paid for by Private Contributions in accordance with Community Standards (towards which I would have very little objection), or raiding the Public Treasury -- into which Atheists pay taxes, too.

It's a very pedantic, niggling little concern on my part, except that's it's also an Eighth Commandment concern.

Congress funds many things I don't like. There is nothing unconstitutional abut it funding religion. Government always has--from buying bibles, hiring clergy and giving land to missionaries in the early congresses to spending billions every year today on Pell and Child Care Development Block Grants which go to religious institutions.

If you don't like what government funds, the answer is the ballot box, not shopping for liberal judges who will pretend the constitution means exactly the opposite of what it does.

Concede that power to judges and what you want could be next on the judicial hit list.
