Yes, Missouri is the "show me" state, but Texas is the "by god, I will show you" state.

Do they have a "shall issue" CCW and reciprocity with all other states?

Missouri has the most borders with other states, eight. Incredibly, each can be entered from Mo. by travelling north. So I've read, anyway.

Yo Zen, who you trying to convince - us or yourself? ;-)

I was only in Missouri once and ended up in East St. Louis with a bunch guys from a training session I was attending on the other side of the bridge... most frightening, though fun, night.

Tennessee is also bordered by eight states. Why I remember that bit of trivia, I have no idea. As far as your second sentence goes, well, color me dubious...

Twain wrote his best stuff right here in Hartford. I've been through his mansion on Farminton Avenue many times. He lived out his life here dying in Redding Ct.

By the way, We have Colt Firearms here in West Hartford, P&W Jet engines in East Hartford, Electric boat (manufacturers of nuclear submarines) in Groton, Sikorsky Helicopters in Stratford and the original Stetson Hat came from Danbury CT. Oh, and regards that democrat HST, I might mention that George W was born in New Haven,

I do like St Louis though

Did I mention we're the only state with two Federal Reserve Banks?

Why don't you take a couple of your big bad B2s, do us all a favor and nuke them? Or are you a bunch of wussies?

Of course, I'm from Philly. The best thing about being from Philly is that you can go anywhere in the world and think the people are nice.

Mega Dittos on that. I grew up in Philly as well, and have made numerous trips to St. Louis. I've always enjoyed my time in St. Louis.

The Eagles (pronounced "Iggles") have their own courtroom right there in Vets Stadium (and I presume will have one in the Linc). Do the Rams have a courtroom in the dome? (or does any other NFL team for that matter?)

I think that is unique. And remember, we are not talking about the poor, street types here. It is basically Philly's upper class that can afford to go to Eagles games.

"(item)10.The infinite wisdom of Mark Twain, Hannibal, Missouri

Actually, Sam Clemmons was born and raised in Missouri, beginning with Florida MO, raised and ending with Hannibal - didn't leave until he was 20, but "stayed in the area" (midwest) via riverboating for approximately 3 years. He lived literally everywhere until he married and settled in Hartford CT, when he was 36 yrs old. Already well travelled, he couldn't sit still for long. Although his children were born in the home of Hartford, his travels around the nation and world continued extensively. All over Europe, several times, as well as continuing to travel our nation, particularly the midwest. His mother was buried in Hannibal MO.
