Bush avoids recall talk while traveling through California

SAN DIEGO (AP) - President Bush, swooping through California to boost his re-election bid, told thousands of Marines Thursday that the wars he led in Afghanistan and Iraq and against terrorism have made America more secure.

The president stayed mum -- and planned to stay that way -- on the topic foremost in many minds here: the state's unwieldy gubernatorial free-for-all.

He looks presidential - and announcing a major success in the WOT drove the Democrats to just another low point of despair. This President seems to get lucky just when you think he's been brought down a notch or two.

It is best he doesn't mention it as the rats are blaming him for it already, when clearly he has nothing to do with it. But Rats never take responsibility for any wrong doing. There are letters to the editors that actually blame Bush for our deficit here in California, not Davis! Makes me nuts!
