SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - Arnold Schwarzenegger added more brawn to his campaign team on Thursday by announcing ex Secretary of State George Shultz would join his campaign as an economic adviser, according to the candidate's spokesman.
Seeking to counter opponent's attacks that the muscleman-turned-actor was not qualified to serve as California's governor, Schwarzenegger has assembled a team of political veterans behind the scenes and some top finance names in the foreground.
On Wednesday, he named billionaire Democrat Warren Buffett as his senior economic adviser, then donated $1 million to his own campaign to help fund the new team.
Spokesman Sean Walsh said on Thursday that Shultz, who served as secretary of state under president Ronald Reagan, would also join the economic advisory team.

Well at least he'll have somebody to counter the "I've never seen a tax increase I didn't like" - Warren Buffett!
I also heard Arnold had added Steve Forbes - anybody else hear that ..??

How bad was the SS? When George Patton's troops caught up with any of them-they just could not manage to take a single one prisoner. George was a very compasionate man-really. I read the most excruiatingly detailed bio-by a real Army man. His problem was in getting any of them to surrender-his men just could not manage to get 'em alive. Funny thing. Kurt was so sweet.

Talk about political jujitsu!!! Let's hope he does not get too clever by half.
To: goldstategop
He's certainly playing this like a pro.
That may be a problem though. Isn't the whole idea that Arnie is an outsider? What does he really bring to the table if he winds up looking like a regular politician to the Sheeple?

Exactly..... those who talk loudly about being populists... let's say they never quite measure up to their claims.

those who talk loudly about being populists... I agree. Those who talk too loudly about anything are probably compensating for just the opposite being true. "The lady doth protest too loudly!"

The plan is counteract Democratic charges he's an untested amateur and can't be trusted with governing since you know - he's only an actor. <snicker

What does he really bring to the table if he winds up looking like a regular politician to the Sheeple? What office has he ever held? 98% of the American public doesn't know who George Schultz is.

It will interesting to see who has upper hand in Arnold's economic thinking later in this campaign. Especially in that group of egomaniacs. I say Buffett will be the first to take his ball and bat and go home. Riordin also strikes me as a crybaby and trouble maker.
Arnold is rumored to be a big fan of Milton Friedman. I would love to see him consulting this group. Milt must be 85 years old now, but I suspect he is still sharp as a tack.

98% of the American public doesn't know who George Schultz is. And the 2% who do know are NWO conspiracy buffs.

'08? You are nuts-if you mean a run for prez. Have you read the Constitution? It prohibits foreign born, naturalized citiezens from holding that office. I have realized entirely why they did that-in the last decade with this invasion of aliens. No foreigners!Sorry, I guess I read what you wrote and thought it meant Arnold.
