For St. Andrew's Church on Woodmont Boulevard, the Episcopal Church may as well be dead.
''We have draped our signs in black and covered the word Episcopal as a symbolic way of disassociating ourselves from the actions of the General Convention of the Episcopal Church,'' said the Rev. James Guill, the church's rector.

Not really. Bishop Herlong seems to be on our side. And something more important than money is at stake here.
Wednesday I told my rector that he and his predecessors at St. Andrew's for years had been training us for spiritual combat. Now we are ready. This is the best thing that ever happened to our parish.
To paraphrase St. Andrew himself, "what are we among so many?" But you know what our Lord did with those simple loaves and fishes.
Father Guill is a solid, Bible believing, Christian warrior; devoted husband and father of three fine children. He is also solidly politically conservative, and I am proud to call him a dear friend, as well as my priest and spiritual leader.
He is also a firm beliver in Second Amendment rights.
Not an especially insightful remark, in that those "leaders from around the world" (one presumes the African and Asian bishops who've been outspoken about this) lead something like 3/4 of the worldwide Anglican Communion -- 50-75 million to the Episcopal (ECUSA) church's... what is it down to now?... 2 million?
(On the other hand, ECUSA has the buck$...)
Good for your parish! And I hope it goes well for you all.
Please include me on the Traditional Anglican list.
Father Guill calls them the "Two Thirds World".
It is quite interesting to me the way the ECUSA heretics have been reduced to saying "what do you expect from a bunch of third-world savages." When push comes to shove it's the liberals who are really racist.
