I hope that report is either wrong, or he changes his mind. Rightly or wrongly, if he continues with the fundraiser but doesn't speak, at least briefly, on the blackout, he'll be skewered by the media. Doesn't have to have a big news conference, but should at least release a statement.

My guess is that they are going to gather more information before any real comments are made from Bush

Agreed. Bush will be utterly blasted in the media for having attended a million-dollar fundraiser in CA. during this crisis. Dan Blather is already making a bit of it. But so far Bush's men say that is indeed the President's plan for tonight.
