You know dang well her governor's mansion has a generator and she's got full power. How much you want to bet Hellary's mansion has the same?

It is 10:00 PM in my location, and there is NO WAY that I can begin reading 2500 'posts' now. I hope I am not repeating some observation already delivered. However, I HATE that this has been non-stop news now since 4:15 PM. Talk about giving the terrorists ideas about the next kinds of 'strikes' to undertake in order to deliver panic to the entire country. Sheesh.
I wish the networks would just move on to something else.
Nothing here to see folks, just move along now...

Yeah, the governor is Michigan is speaking to the people like they are small children. Jezzz, I get tired of this condescending attitude from politicians.Of course she talks to us like we are children, she is a Democrat. While I am in Western Michigan where we haven't really had any ill effects from the incident, it seems they interrupted all of the major network shows for her.

And for your contributions.....
Hearing reports now that all flight schedules tomorrow are going to be a disaster....Showing thousands have been at train stations for six hours, no food, toilets, etc. and tempers are growing short.....Not surprised.

Couldn't tell you, though I could probably call my friend at PECO and ask him :) (just kidding, it's late and his wife would kill me). The jets aren't meant for direct power production, but to get other substations running. Power turbines use electromagnetism, but that means you need seed power to get them started. Each jet is paired to a single turbine; once they're spinning, power is sent to the other substations so they can get their turbines started. They supply power to all the homes.

Did you hear the news reporters earlier explaining a 4 way stop? It's not like we're used to "woah" signs, but a 4-way isn't that complicated. After hearing the Guvs soothing words I'm grateful I invested in a generator. As luck would have it the station carrying the Lions game was not available!

Of course, you know this will just give her an excuse to throw more money at the Detroit metro area to her special friends.

What do you except? Nanny Bloomberg said to treat Friday like a snow day. So everyone can tell their boss they were following the mayor's instructions!

Looks like a par-tay. And when all of those freaks need to go home what's going to happen?

In 1977, the blackout covered the entire east coast--except Philly. In Philly we have a pair of jet engines directly connected to power turbines, FOR THE EXPRESS PURPOSE OF PROVIDING SEED POWER TO START OTHER SUBSTATIONS. They're reporting tonight that NYC has a lot of power generating capacity in Queens, but they can't use it until Queens itself has power. They're called "black-start" generators and Cleveland had a couple of them as well. Its hard to say if they are still operational, since the parent company of the now defunct Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company sold both plants during the rush to deregulation. I wonder how many others are in this predicament.

Fox reporter brings up a good point:
Where are all these people going to go to the bathroom?

Thanks,No news is good news.Other posters are doing reports to their meetings on the blackout based on FR because you and all are posting faster than the news.
