Well - All The Women, that is..:)) That is wonderful news, lonestar, and we thank you for letting us know the outcome.
I can relate, having had such an excision in 1996 that turned out to be abnormal tissue, sometimes a precursor, but not cancer. Annual follow-ups with my oncology surgeon (the last in July) have shown no return.

By the way, neither the examining physician nor the oncology surgeon were able to feel the lump, deep within.

Do not assume since you cannot feel it, one is not there. Mine was the size of a pencil eraser, and not palpable, but clearly seen on the x-ray film.

Insist upon and have those mammograms!
The fleeting discomfort is worth the peace of mind.
