Phoenix, U.S. August 13, 2003 (Notimex).- The president of the United States, George. W. Bush, expressed his support towards a bill seeking to create a host-worker program and regularize undocumented immigrants within the U.S. This was informed by legislators supporting the initiative.
"President Bush was very enthusiastic about the initiative. He backs it and told us to take it to his staff so it can be assessed", said Federal Congressman Jim Kolbe.
The bill, called Land Border Security Law and Immigration Improvement, was recently introduced by Kolbe to the Congress, his colleague Jeff Blake and Senator John McCain, all Arizonan Republicans.
McCain and Kolbe accompanied Bush this week during a work visit to Arizona and took the time to fly in a helicopter and visit some areas of such state to go over this new bill.
Bush said he "would study very carefully this bill and that he would work with us to make it happen" McCain told the press.
Republican ex-presidential candidate added Bush assured he has always considered migratory issues as "high priority" topics. NOTIMEX.

An Amnestia by any name still stinks.
If Bush signs an amnesty, under any name, I will vote against him. I'd rather have the inevitable Balkan-style battle while I'm young enough to be effective.
(At one time the Kosovo Serbs thought it was a great idea to allow Albanians to flood into Kosovo. They thought that cheap labor was just swell. Look where it got them.)

Between this and watching manufacturing jobs go to China and IT ones go to India one has to wonder a) what side is Bush on in this and b) what's the point of being an American again?

Well, Bush said no AMNESTIES.....so now Bush can REWARD these lawbreakers with a "host-worker program and REGUALRIZE them.

Seems to me the first time I read about our ILLEGALS being "regularized" the quote was from Vicente Fox (right before 9-11).

Sad but true......looks like Bush has chosen to side with Fox and his ILLEGALS, even tho ALL polls say some 70-90% of VOTING CITIZENS was these lawbreakers DEPORTED.....NOT REWARDED (AGAIN).

Rewarding these illegals DID NOT work in 1986, and it sure won't work in 2003.

    Regularize.....>>>>>

A term first used by the "sly Fox" if I remember correctly.

Just more proof as to WHO Bush is listening to.

Same here.....I'm voting against anyone who is "pandering" for votes by rewarding the illegals

Strange very few in DC seems to have noticed that Tom Tancredo was re-elected with 70% of the votes, & his daily message is DEPORT the illegals.

WHAT is the DEAL with our Prez? WHY does he keep sucking up to illegals and Vicente Fox???
If he wants the American Latino vote, why doesn't he just explain to all Americans JUST HOW BADLY illegal [illegal!!!!] immigration HURTS the poor and the legal immigrants of this country???
 WHY DOESN'T BUSH GET IT????

More cheap labor for business interests plus locking up the Hispanic vote. That its money & politics is all a coincidence of course...

Bush had 'better' find a way to replace the jobs that the illegals are taking. Between the illegals and the leaving-out-of-country-jobs, the US is slowly being squeezed into just another Third World country.

Germany and Kohl welcomed the Eastern Germans - and promptly voted Kohl out and the Socialists in.

Good move, Bush!

Bet your friend Powell at State is involved!
