Buffet is going to help to do something about California's plummeting credit rating. Regardless of where he stands on taxation, his purpose is to help fashion a policy that will draw business BACK to California. That, my friend, doesn't include raising taxes. He's a financial genius and as long as they use his financial genius to help pull California out of the dumps, it's fine with me.

Buffet may not be a fiscal conservative, but Arnie is. You have to take your best shot quickly if you're going to turn Cali around.

I seem to remember that Mayor Bloomberg of New York was also called a "financial genius" in his business career.

I tend to agree. Time is short and the state needs to be shaken up. California either sinks or swims with someone outside the political mainstream. While Arnold isn't everything to everyone, I'm hoping he's hard nosed enough to kick some ass. Just because he has this media image doesn't mean he can deliver the same once he is Governer.

Exactly. Buffet is there to suggest ways to make CA more business friendly. The parts of Bush's tax cut that he opposed were the tax reform parts. Arnold won't be dealing with tax reform. He doesn't have the luxury.
