[history]
So, Californians are going to decide whether to remove their hapless governor, Gray Davis, in a recall vote and elect a new one. The big date is Oct. 7, and the liberal elitists are shaking in their Ferragamo shoes.
Art Torres, California's Democrat Party chairman, complains that the recall ``just exacerbates the impression that we're a bunch of wackos out here.''

Gray Davis has been viewed as a Martinet and a dictator. I see him more as a dillitante and a debauch. He saw the office of governor as nothing more than a stepping stone. He saw the state treasury as nothing more than a pile of spoils to distribute to his allies.
In 1998 he sacked Sacremento, for the rest of his tenure in office, he's handed out the candy. He's endebted California to the unions for decades, much in the way Harold Wilson did to Great Britain in the 70's. He's signed sweetheart deals with corrupt businessmen and rolled over supine for intrest groups who could care less if the average citizen in CA ate garbage from a dumpster as long as they got theirs.
Davis has shameless ran for office and goverened as Santa CLaus while conveniently forgetting to mention the Visa balance that would come due that January. CA will take at least a decade to straighten out. Arnold had better prepare for lots of heavy lifting.

The California recall effort is a legitimate, albeit extraordinary, public reaction to a complete deterioration in political leadership. It's difficult to see how Governor (Fill in the Blank) could do much worse.
I predict more of this nationwide.........
Let's start with Ohio..............

California has become a liberal laboratory of failed economic and social experiments. The Factor last night pointed out the fact that the corrections officers union has wrangled a retirement plan from the state of CA that provides retirement at age 50 with 90% pay. No wonder the state is in its present straits if that is an indicator of the mismanagement that has been going on. If that's the case I don't believe there is a way out of its financial mess but through bankruptcy.

California has become a liberal laboratory of failed economic and social experiments. Davis and his overwhelmingly Democrat Legislature have turned this once-proud state into a banana republic,This is completely true, howeve,
and the people have said enough is enough.
is a load of crap. The people have ovewhelmingly elected the Marxist legislature. The legislature is where most of the idiocy in the peoples' democracy of Kali comes from. Apparently the people haven't had enough, but are just looking for a scapegoat when they believed the politicians who said that they could get something for nothing and this didn't happen.
The biggest morons in Kali are the voters who time after time return these idiots to office along with Sweinslime, Boxer and the rest of arrogant creeps like Waxman, Lee, Pelosi, Waters, Sanchez, etc. Apparently (like in NYC) the speed limit in Kali has exceeded the IQ of the average voter.

Its not exactly a fair characterization of California. Our State Legislature and State Congressional delegation has been gerrymandered to keep the Democrats in power. Under other circumstances, we'd gladly give them the boot. And DiFi and Babs are not gonna be around forever.

Its not exactly a fair characterization of California. Oh really? 33 Dems out of 53 reps in the house. The Congressional delegation with the third most liberal voting record in the whole US (and this includes the republicans) NY and MA are worse. But that simply says that there is an even bigger percentage of lazy greedy parasites who live in NY and MA than Kali. Are you telling me that the marxist tyranny that passes for government in Kali is not supported by the majority?

Do you think this is maybe by design?
If California (the world's sixth biggest economy) goes south, the entire nation will be effected in a negative way. That would play right into the Demoncrat's plan of U.S. destruction. Like the ports closing for the strike.
Either they are supporting him or refusing to help.

Not quite true. CA is a line item veto state so in the end the responsibility lies with the GOV who could have cleaned up this mess with a Skillcraft pen if he hadn't sold his soul to every union in the state.

if he hadn't sold his soul to every union in the state. This recall is raising consciousness bigtime about how governance is ruined by the ability to buy votes.
