Not all social conservatives are fiscal conservatives.

Arnold is likely neither a fiscal nor a social conservative, judging by that ridiculous proposition that he sponsored last year.

Either that, or he has been planning to run for governor all along (recall moved up his time tables), and he did that proposition as a head fake to the media to show he was "moderate"

Well it might do her some good to see it from the side of someone she loves. When she realizes Tedward supports those thugs, it may be a real eye opener!

Speaking of a real eye opener, have you seen Leo Terrell all over TV talking about the NAACP?

I doubt that Tom will hang in the race til the end with only 5% of the vote - he'd drop out. I would fully expect Simon to hang on to the bitter end. He's just that much of a blockhead.

Whoever wins, it would be nice if he got a big fat majority vote so the media can't belly ache about the winner getting a plurality - though it never bothered them that Slick never got a majority in his two terms.

No I haven't run into that yet. I support anyone who does though.

That's what I thought too. I voted "No" on Prop 49. But this year, with the hoo-hah developing around Arnold's possible candidacy, I found out that 49 was endorsed by the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association, the California Taxpayers' Union and the California Chamber of Commerce ... along with Rep. Chris Cox and many other GOP congressmen. Dunno the details, but that's pretty big stuff.

I agree about Tom, although I have no real reason to say that other than that I think he's wise enough to do the right thing if he's tanking in the numbers.

As for Simon, I don't know what to think about him. It was obvious that Issa saw the handwriting. Why didn't Simon? He hasn't a prayer against Schwarzenegger.

I'm with you on McClintock. Clearly the best conservative choice to run the State. The Arnold juggernaut looks like Tom doesn't have a chance, but....there is still 8 weeks until the election.

Ditto that. The best part of his goofy self being in the race is that (hopefully) this will be the final nail in his coffin.

Exactly! He had his chance, he blew it. Now Mr. Simon should graciously step aside and let someone else have his shot at it!

For the good of California and the Republican Party, he should stop looking for an ego stroke just like Joe Davis! It won't work if you ask me... and anyone is voting for him is just trowing his/her vote away. He is a Looser!...guaranteed!

Simon is a "me too" at this point, IMO.

Good point.... Simon is a "me too" at this point,

you can only be a "me too" from a position of strength in relation to lesser candidates.

Simon got it backwards

Wilson pushed to get 187 passed. He left the state with a 12 billion dollar surplus. The courts decided that illegals have more rights than American citizens. People will remember the good things that Wilson did and see his endorsement as a plus. The Democrats keep acting as if California didn't want prop 187, eventhough it won big. They shot themselves in the foot to stop the bleeding.Strange policy.
