A Hereford resident on Monday shows the refuse left by a large number of illegal immigrants in the wash area between Ash Canyon and Turkey Track Road over the weekend. The U.S. Border Patrol says that it can't force illegal immigrants to pick up trash that they didn't leave.

HEREFORD -- The U.S. Border Patrol cannot force illegal immigrants to pick up trash if it cannot be proven they caused the debris left on private or public property, a spokesman for the agency's Tucson Sector said Monday.
A Hereford area resident is the latest to complain about the actions of illegal immigrants trashing private property in one of the Huachuca Mountain canyons where he lives.
Last week the federal agency picked up more than 50 people on private property near the local resident's land, but a large amount of trash, including backpacks, clothing and other items were left, said the resident, who did not want to be identified.
One item left behind, which fits a pattern when it comes to illegal immigrants, was an airline ticket.
One found at the Hereford scene was for a passenger named Juan Carlos Popoca. It was for a July 28 flight from Mexico City to Hermosillo, the capital city of the Mexican state of Sonora, on Mexicana Flight 448H that departed at 9:15 p.m. According to the document, the flight was paid for in cash.
Greg Maier, a spokesman with the Tucson Sector, said agents do have illegal immigrants take items with them, but often the material is not everything they bring across the border.
Too often the people stay at what is called "lay up spots," waiting for their ground transportation and it is at these sites where the illegal immigrants change their clothes and leave the majority of things behind, Maier said.
The illegal immigrants then go a short distance to meet the vehicles and jump aboard them, he said.
In some cases the vehicles "do not come to a full stop," Maier said.
When a group is spotted by the agents and apprehended, whatever items they have with them are put aboard Border Patrol vehicles, he said.
"We can't make them pick up someone else's trash," Maier said.
The object is to get the apprehended illegal immigrants moving quickly so it is not possible to have them held for a couple of hours, especially when it is dark, to pick up trash, Maier said.
As for whose responsibility it is to pick up trash on public and private property, the spokesman said the managers or owners of land are ultimately responsible.
Ah, but the media would ignore them, as they already know all about it. The Koby Bryant soap opera is much more appealing to them. The media ignores this titanic invasion just like President Bush, his party, and Congress.
As I said - BOY! Am I glad I don't live on the border. My sympathies fo out to those stalwarts who do.
Ask those in Illinois, Utah, Colorado, Washington state, Tennessee, Oregon, Georgia, Ohio, Florida, Indiana, etc etc about how isolated they are from this epic invasion of millions of illegal aliens.
Time to update yourself. It's been a nationwide invasion for some years now, and extends far beyond the border states.
Well I'm glad to know the illegal aliens going to Georgia are upstanding, responsible, and honorable illegal aliens....That's a relief.
Well, please don't use that phrase, and please don't try to justify or rationalize its use.
Why are all you border jockeys so hypocritical?
Hells bells, aren't you a cranky old codger.
Take some meds or get laid.
Whatever works...
The illegal's dumping of trash, and even being here is an illegal activity. Dumping that trash at the residences of those politician's who are most in a position to stop the invasion, and least willing to do so, is a protest in the finest US tradition. It is the kind of activity that would proudly live forever in US History books, just as wonderful and symbolic as the Boston Tea Party !!
Another thing to do...email and write those Dem Presidential wannabees about the connected issues of jobs, the porous border, stupid trade agreements that give up our nation's independence, and the environment along the border. A few of them are beginning to tap into this as a rich source of votes.
Uhhhh....you just lost your own argument for yourself, since this is created by people who are entering the country illegally. You want fast and appropriate justice for these invaders, I assume.
Those who are helping people commit a crime are also guilty of a crime. You want them jailed and fined, I'll assume also, since it follows from your statement.
I drive a Ford. Don't like my answer? Tough.
Thanks, very insightful.
Ask him about his old profile page.
My comments made sense to dennis, mind your own business.
Read better.
