BILL O'REILLY, HOST: In a Factor Follow-Up segment tonight, we received a ton of mail from Jewish viewers who say that, historically, even if some Jews were involved with the execution of Jesus, no good can come from rehashing that today. Case in point: Mel Gibson's upcoming movie The Passion (search).

the story of the death of Jesus, has inflamed passions and caused not just theoretical anti-Semitism. It's caused deaths of thousands of Jews.

Seems like a stunningly anti-Christian statement: Christianity has led to the deaths of thousands of Jews.

Of course, I guess such a statement must be allowed, since it is a true statement. Men have behaved badly in the name of the Lord and we must not sweep those sad events under the rug. It's true, so the Rabbi can speak of Christian violence against the Jews.

Now, about the role that Jews played in the cruxifiction ... is it off limits to speak of that?

I'm really looking forward to seeing this film. If it is as good as I think it is, I'll buy a CD of it.

O'R:I mean it's quite clear in the film -- I didn't see it and "The God Squad" didn't either

Shut up fool. I'm damned tired of reviews of films and books by A-Holes that haven't seen them or read them. SHUT UP FOOLS!

Strident, militant Jews will stir up more anti-Semitism than any movie about Jesus Christ. They are their own worst enemy. They ought to figure out that most Christians are not out to get them, and that such militancy just antagonizes people.

A "DVD" might work better for viewing the film. *grin*

Jews in the US often remember the stories of their grandparents about pogroms in Russia/poland/eastern europe following good friday or easter services. So they remember these stories and fear re opening antisemitism. these things happened a hundred years ago, but for people my age that would mean my grandparents...

the main problem is that such anti semitism is quite rare in the US, and most of European anti semitism is directed agaist Israel, and that the main cause of antisemetism is not christianity but radical ISlamofascism...

"...Christianity has lead to the death of thousand of Jews."

It is NOT a true statement. Christianity has not lead to the death of any Jews, with the exception of One, who "willingly" gave His life in sacraficial atonement for sin.

Sin is the sole cause of death. Christianity has lead to the forgiveness of sin, and life.

Blaming Christians for the death of Jews is the same as blaming Jews for the death of Jesus.
