Yes, I can say this is extremism. The moslems desperately need enemies because Mullahs tell them "jihad" is a sinner's free ticket to paradise and "martyrdom" is a free ticket to the first-class section.
The "oppression of islam" in Palestine, Kashmir etc. is deliberately overdramatized by the muslims and is too valuable a rallying cry to those in power such as Arafat as a means to stay in power, and as an opportunity for muslims to portray themselves as innocent victims waging a defensive war.
This is something which stems directly from the "legimatized" violence in the Koran and is actively promoted by self-serving Mullahs.
Outsiders who wish to believe that Islam is merely a peaceful religion on par with Buddism, Christianity, Judaism etc are deceiving themselves. The sooner we recognize what we are dealing with, the better because there are peaceful solutions but not by appeasing those who proport to speak for islam.
