Sinkspur, folks like Kellynla are either absolutely blind to political reality, or they don't care and actually prefer to lose. Either way, debating with people whose level of discourse is, "Better let us CA adults do the heavy lifting and you sit back and enjoy the popcorn," is a waste of time.

And he was very wealthy before getting into acting — he built a multi-milltion-dollar business (masonry, I think) starting before and continuing through his body-building career. He's a self-made man who seems to have tried several careers and been extraordinarily successful at each of them.

Yea well let me know when Aunold is ready to debate...then he'll just have to call the Screen Extras Guild to find a replacement. ROFLAMO If you think, "Your boy has no platform and/or solutions for the mess in Sacramento. And as soon as he starts to answer substantive questions, the Terminator will self-destruct!", is a thin line than your knowledge of politics is null! Platforms, issues and solutions are the backbone of politics! And if that candidate is incapable of voicing them then that person is DOA!

Not a question of "courage." My post was directed to the right person. I was commenting on Sinkspur's attempts to reason with you.

As for "my" candidate, I don't have one. As I've told several others on this forum, if this were a primary election, I'd campaign and vote for Tom McClintock. However, this is a winner-take-all deal, and I have no intention of participating in a situation that sees Cruz Bustamante become governor of California. So I'm going to vote for the best person who has a realistic shot at preventing Bustamante from winning. McClintock hasn't got a prayer of winning, so he will not get my vote.

You must be reading the DemoRATS' polls. Arnold's numbers have been going nowhere but UP since he announced last Wednesday. This race is not going to be about issues...it's going to be about terminating Gray Doofus from the governor's mansion. Arnold will win and there's nothing McClintock (whom most Californians have never even heard of)or any other candidate can do about it.

How many times do I have to make this point...once Aunold answers substantive questions his numbers will fall. A celebrity's poll numbers are the highest at the beginning and then the more the electorate learns the more the numbers fall. This guy is an empty suit with no platform, no plan and no solutions! MORE THAN 3 FRIGGIN' MILLION CALIFORNIANS VOTED FOR MCCLINTOCK IN THE LAST ELECTION! HELLOOOOO????

The electorate is NOT listening!! Who give a whoop about issues when you can have ARNOLD as the Governator?!!? He's got the Dem vote, he's got the mod to liberal GOP vote, he's got the independent vote, etc. This election is not going to be a year long...it's 54 DAYS and counting. People will vote for him precisely BECAUSE he's NOT a politician.

And if 3 million people voted for McClintock (or did they gove for the R behind his name?), then why the heck is he still at 6%, with most of the electorate IGNORING him altogether?? Hell, he's getting lower numbers than even Bill Simon and Ariana Huffington.
