Bob Mulholland is a despicable excuse for a human being. This is his M.O. He's not as vocal as Carville, but he is more vile. He's just a rotten individual. That the Democrats would associate themselves with this man, let alone allow him to be their lead man in California should tell you volumes.

Mulholland was on Buchanan & Press earlier yesterday, and here is what he said:

BUCHANAN: When we return, a leading Democrat in California is in hot water tonight for making the following comment.

BOB MULHOLLAND, CALIFORNIA DEMOCRATIC PARTY ADVISER: Schwarzenegger is going to find out that unlike a Hollywood movie set, the bullets coming at him in this campaign are going to be real bullets, and he’s going to have to respond to them. This is not a campaign for Schwarzenegger. When things get a little tough, he’s going to be able to say cut.

BUCHANAN: I’m Pat Buchanan. Ahead, a top Democrat in California is in hot water for his comments about “The Terminator”. We’ll talk with him next. You stay tuned.

BUCHANAN: Welcome back. The Democratic counter offensive against Arnold has begun. Gray Davis appeared on the “Today” Show with his wife Sharon.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP) GOV. GRAY DAVIS (D), CALIFORNIA: Well, there’s no question the people will take a look at what their choices are and I think Arnold Schwarzenegger will be the first to tell you he’s got a lot-a long ways to go to explain what he would do as governor. Californians are very fair minded. I trust them, and I know they’ll do the right thing on October 7.

BUCHANAN: Right now, though, Governor Davis, some 60 percent want to remove him. With us now, however, is Bob Mulholland, an advisor to the Democratic Party in California and one of the most prominent Democrats in the state.

I want to ask you, Bob, if you will listen again to that statement that you made apparently on ABC and I saw it this morning on “Drudge” headline and let’s listen-let everyone listen to it.

MULHOLLAND: Schwarzenegger is going to find out that unlike a Hollywood movie set, the bullets coming at him in this campaign are going to real bullets and he’s going to have to respond to them. This is not a campaign for Schwarzenegger when things get a little tough is going to be able to say cut. (END VIDEO CLIP)

BUCHANAN: Bob, Maria Shriver, who’s a member of the Kennedy family, said you know this is a little inflammatory, especially when you consider the kind of bullets with which her family has had to deal. Do you think you made a mistake in using that kind of terminology?

MULHOLLAND: What I really intended to say and I slipped was real political, real political because of the issues that are important to the people of California that Schwarzenegger seems to have either a hearing problem or mental gap. And later that day on Sunday we finally found out he supported Prop. 187. But, Pat, aren’t you the guy as a presidential candidate that used terms like lock and load, grab the pitch fork and you’re going to put Bill Clinton in the crossfire.

BUCHANAN: Yes, but I didn’t say we were going to use real bullets on people...

MULHOLLAND: Lock and load...

MULHOLLAND: Look, let’s not jump...

BUCHANAN: Lock and load has to do with a musket.

MULHOLLAND: Well...

MULHOLLAND: ... real bullets. Let’s not exaggerate. I’m talking about substantive issues that Schwarzenegger couldn’t remember to answer, such as paid family leave and releasing his taxes for five years...

BUCHANAN: All right...
