Entertaining, informative and often moving, this two-hour documentary profiles five gay men trying to make it in Hollywood. By following their ups and downs, and through archival footage and interviews with contemporary gay movie power brokers, we examine the history of gay Hollywood and debate how the industry is dealing with issues of sex, politics and discrimination today.

"we examine the history of gay Hollywood and debate how the industry is dealing with issues of sex, politics and discrimination today."
Great...maybe they can debate their role in perpetuating all those things they say they despise. These people say they hate racism and yet they perfected stereotyping: black=pimp or drug dealer, Arab=terrorist, Christian=bigot (is that you, Mel). They decry the inequality of "Legacy" advancement and yet nepotism still reigns supreme in Hollywood. They can't stand for age descrimination but youth and beauty is now the only prequisite to be an actor today. Poor old Ed Asner was actually complaining how its hard to get a job in Hollywood when you get old. And compassion; they're full of it. Just ask all the discarded youths, that once their child-like innocence was no longer of value to them, they were left in the gutter, usually drug addicted and abadoned before the age of 18. And who can forget the enivronment...and the efforts to save the forests. That is, until they need to make a movie that often requires tons of lumber that is usually destoryed in some pyrotechnic special effect. Ahh, yes Hollywood...a shining example of liberal hypocrisy.

here's an original idea... don't watch. Indeed - same can be said if ABC aired shows depicting homosexuals as all child molesters, or all liberals as nazis, etc. No one should complain at all, just change the channel.
