The whole family, including both daughters and their husbands, was together today to celebrate Great Niece Britney's and and my birthdays. Grandma Gata and I took Miss V along when we went to pick up the food. (Nobody felt like cooking and the immensely pregnant lady didn't feel like going out.) Miss V bit Grandma, got whacked and spent about 10 minutes sobbing on Grandma's shoulder. Before and after that episode, she got rides on the mechanical pony, and she felt confident enough, with justification, to hold on by herself. We'll be looking to find a real pony for her to ride soon.

The pregnant lady was feeling better today than yesterday. She ate about 1/2 her steak, all of her baked potato along with 1/2 of Cousin Britney's. She kept the other half of her steak and the potato for later. She also ate a fair number of green beans and a couple of rolls. So she ate a lot, for her, and a good balance.

I think she's resigned herself to a birth this week, probably meaning it won't be this week, but tomorrow's ultrasound will tell the tale.

BTW, Grandpa got another good-bye kiss, but no kisses or hugs before then, while everyone else was getting them. I think she was glad to see me go .. well not really. Miss V loves to wave and say bye-bye, even if it's just a diaper that is going bye-bye. She did let me read a book to her while she sat on my lap. She likes books. She's coming to it about 1 1/2 years later than her mother did, but coming from our family, and her Dad's too to some extent, she could hardly not like them. :)

Glad “the pregnant lady” was feeling better and had good appetite. Prayers for her and the little ones. I’ll be checking in for an update about the test today. God bless.
