Hi, Gramma,
First, prayers for Logan and the family.
My daughter also was born three months early. You learn to pray a lot staying in the NICU for a few months. Please let them know that there is so much the doctors and staff can do now. Also, tell them to take advantage of the support system the hospital provides. The picture you posted gave me all kinds of flashbacks. I have some pictures that look just like that one.
It will be a long road. They will learn to hate the sounds of the alarms going off. (Gee, I can laugh about it now.) And they will find strength they never knew they had. Tell them never give up no matter what other people may say. Never give up.
My angel, whom many said would not make it, is one of the happiest and most active children around. She tests developmentally at two years ahead of her age. And she is my inspiration.
Tell them to always touch the baby even though they can't hold him yet. They know.

We pray the Almighty would
-touch Logan with health, that he may live long to praise Him,
-touch Logan's family with strength, that they grow with this test
-bring to the hospital staff an increase in skill and intelligence, so that Logan may have all the assistance possible
Finally, should the Lord find that Logan is to be in Heaven after all, the family will to learn to rejoice for his short journey here in this earth.

hello Gramma,
this one hits right at home for me; my son Andrew is but a week old today, and had some troubles for which I posted a prayer request here on Freep, and recieved a blessed response. Though born full term, Andrew was in the premature ICU ward - which afforded me the chance to see not just these "little" warriors (little only in size, but quite the fighters!), but the extraordinary degree of care shown by the medical staff. Truly, our Lord works through these wonderful souls, and for the children.
My prayers are with you and yours, please keep us posted.
God Bless,
Juan

We will be praying for Logan.
We spent several months in the NICU with our baby. They had a bulletin board covered with pictures of big healthy kids. Written on them were the weights of all these kids when they were babies. Many of them were between 700 to 10000 grams.

Heavenly Father,
You formed this child in your own perfect image. You knew him as he grew in his mother's womb.
We beg you to look upon him now and give him the strength he needs to live and praise Your name. Look upon his parents and his family, that they may have faith in his recovery, and peace if You should call him home to You. Look upon the doctors and nurses, that they may use their gifts of knowledge to save this beautiful child.

Hang in there, Logan...we're all pulling for you!
