Prayer Request for A Tiny Baby (Update in post #12850)
Myself | 8-11-03 | Brad's Gramma

Posted on 08/11/2003 12:57:30 PM PDT by Brad’s Gramma

If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. He’s the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.

Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2” long.

He’s a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that he’s starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.

I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious…and this is her reply…” A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.”

On a personal note, I’ve read the emails daily from my friend. I’ve known her for years, I’ve heard her talking about her family for years…but I’ve got to tell you that I’m SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.

Father God, we lift up Logan’s little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until he’s grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Fellow Freepers…….I bring you Logan!!!

"I remember being glued to my TV when baby Jessica was trapped in that well in Texas."

I remember that very well.

I also remember the tears that flowed when the rescue worker had her in his arms walking to the ambulance.

Just like in Logan's case, many tears were shed and many prayers were said.....and our Lord answered.

Ya got TWO pings...I hope you saw the second, too...

Two pings? I am honored.

A bit of Logan, every day, makes the day brighter, doesn't it?

I often look for an update or just review this thread when things are looking less than wonderful in my lil world. Never fails to give me a boost. The power of this lil boy is amazing. Watching him continue to grow is such a treat. Makes my heart smile. And my rough and tumble boys all have a soft spot for our Texas Termite. :-)

I'm enjoying the Army vs USMC game a lot too! ;-)

My Dear little TT ..... oh ..... TT? Ummm..... Well maybe he IS marine material!

No truth be told this little guy is too cute and too smart to be a ground pounder, tread head, artillery tube t***, and we darn sure don't want him sneaking around in the mud.

I think, if anything, we may have a fly boy on our hands.

I plead innocent, Maggie!

I'm still on the rig. I have to depend on someone else to ping everyone.
Sometimes that someone else leaves someone out.

"we may have a fly boy on our hands."

A WHAT??!

HC, go wash your brain out with soap and water!!

No offense meant to our President, but this little guy was born to wear the Eagle, Globe and Anchor.

Granted he's going to make full bird in a couple of years, but he'll still be a Gyrene.

Hi you three!!! Welcome to THE happiest place in the world. Logan's THREAD!!!!!!

Our Lord DID hear our prayers. Oh did we pray. Many many times we were scared out of our wits. If you go to post #9,853, you'll see those answered prayers.

Logan's already celebrated his first birthday. Word on the streets is, he's to have his first haircut next week!

If you EVER doubt the power of prayer, if you have the time, start at the beginning of this thread and read. It's a long read, I realize that. But you'll watch a miracle unfold before your very eyes.

Oh, and Logan is NOT my grandson. His Nana is my dear friend.

THANK YOU for the prayers...we all covet them for Logan. He's grown on us.......to say the LEAST!!!
