Prayer Request for A Tiny Baby (Update in post #12850)
Myself | 8-11-03 | Brad's Gramma

Posted on 08/11/2003 12:57:30 PM PDT by Brad’s Gramma

If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. He’s the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.

Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2” long.

He’s a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that he’s starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.

I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious…and this is her reply…” A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.”

On a personal note, I’ve read the emails daily from my friend. I’ve known her for years, I’ve heard her talking about her family for years…but I’ve got to tell you that I’m SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.

Father God, we lift up Logan’s little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until he’s grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Fellow Freepers…….I bring you Logan!!!

What wonderful Memorial Day news! It made my weekend to learn that the Termite is now cruisin' and that Nana is coming along, too.
Thanks for the pix and for keeping us up-to-date on the latest Logan antics.
On Memorial Day eve, I want to take time to remember all those who given everything so that we could be here living in this great country and watching future generations like Logan prosper and grow. I am thankful to them all.
Kisses for Logan, my best wishes for Nana and for you, too for keeping us informed.
Aunt Stanz

First off, more prayers going up for Nana -- may she be feeling 100% VERY soon!!! Logan is a beautiful, beautiful boy. Crawling!!! Oh my goodness!!! What a big accomplishment and how much fun he will have, exploring [almost] everywhere! Gates! I recommend lots of GATES! We gated off everything except the main rooms so that our baby can roam the main rooms all day and not get near the stairs, bathroom, etc. And he must have great manual dexterity to already be able to handle (LOVE the dump idea, Logan baby!) the spoon!

Photo of Oliver, FReep FRiend of Logan Oliver says Happy Memorial Day! And he also says enjoy crawling! Walking gives more boo-boos!

You're welcome. We worked in our yard today, cleaned up and then sat down to enjoy it all. We mentioned how beautiful it was and how blessed we were to be able to enjoy the simple things. There is so much peace and contentment in doing physical work (even though we keep Advil and Tylenol in business) :) and seeing the end result kinda helps with the aches and pains of old bones. :)

Awww, but just think how much the youngsters miss by not being able to fully enjoy sinking into a hot tub of water after a hard day's work!

Good to see you, M0sby!

I have to go back and look at all the pics about once a week to remind myself of the miracle we have witnessed.
I remember my feelings with each set of pics I posted there.
I went from holding-my-breath to hope to joy to absolute jubilation.
My feelings now are a quiet, joyful wonder at what God has wrought.

When I haven't seen him for awhile and he first pins me with those eyes, all those feelings come flooding back.
I witness the miracle all over again from the beginning.
I sincerely wish everyone in the world could share that feeling.
God gives me a preview of the feeling we will have on that day when, "every knee shall bow".

As always, thank you TC for our Logan Fix. Termite has come a long way and I would like to thank you for keeping all of us informed. Looking at those pictures puts a big ol' "Logan grin" on my face. God has some major plans for this boy and you, my frien, are going to be part of it. Thank you again.

Looking forward to seeing Oliver, Yaelle! Tried twice, but all I got from Webshots is:

"An error has occurred. You do not appear to be the owner of this album."

CRAWLING! What a hoot! Yippee and Thanks Be to God!

Late at night in the wilds of Idaho I prayed for Logan and Nana again (again) and for all on this thread. I drove over for the long weekend thrilled to be able to see again so I could drive! Thanks again for praying me through eye surgeries last year, group. Passing trucks on the freeway at 90 mph is MUCH more my style than doddering around the airport asking strangers to read the blasted signs for me.

We christened my daughter's boat over the weekend, it was rainy, cold, windy, but over the lake we went with 17 people onboard and two more dashing around us on jet skis. Gorgeous lake surrounded by mountains, patches of sun, rainbows here and there. God's country!

I'll bet Logan will LOVE jet skis. Won't be anything he can't do!

Cyberhugs and prayers for all.

"I'll bet Logan will LOVE jet skis.

GREAT IDEA, VETO!

We had talked about parasailing and sky diving, but we hadn't talked about jet skis!
He should be plenty old enough for that!

Thank you for your prayers, hon.
I'm glad you're able to see now. It's amazing how we take our eyesight for granted until it begins to go.

So it was cold, rainy and windy, huh?
Well, when it gets too rough for everybody else, it's just right for us!
The little punkin is the same way!

BIG HUGS TO YOU, SWEETHEART!

link to Oliver's photo

I hope this works. Webshots is not really clear on how to give the link online. They try to be so "automatic" that they write a whole email to share your photo with someone. That doesn't help me much when trying to share with a board! (Sorry if this doesn't work! When I test it on my computer it works, but then Webshots recognizes me.)
