OK, now you've done it--I'm in tears :)
This reminds me of a prayer that my grandmother has in memory of my dad (who died on his 38th birthday 14 years ago next Wednesday) and his younger brother (gone for 5.5 years now). I always swore that my grandmother's faith has gotten her through burying two sons and many other ups and downs in her life.
My 5-year-old daughter thinks Logan is so beautiful (such a little pro-lifer already). But what baby isn't?

Another prayer bump.
To: Brad's Gramma
We pray the Almighty would
-touch Logan with health, that he may live long to praise Him,
-touch Logan's family with strength, that they grow with this test
-bring to the hospital staff an increase in skill and intelligence, so that Logan may have all the assistance possible
Finally, should the Lord find that Logan is to be in Heaven after all, the family will to learn to rejoice for his short journey here in this earth.

Holy Father,
You knew Logan even as he was formed in his mother's womb. Please accept our prayers for him, Lord. He needs Your strength within him. We ask that you would enable every cell, tissue, and organ in his body to be strong and to receive proper nourishment so that he can grow. Lord, though he is among the tiniest to survive, we ask even now that You would help him to grow into a mighty witness for you and that he would do wonderful works for Your Kingdom. Father, hold him in Your loving arms. Give his parents and family Your strength. Help Logan to feel Your love surrounding him. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

I have a Logan update from my friend....FOR ALL OF YOU!!
I can keep doing this, if you don't mind the ping.
First of all, I want to thank you ALL for the show of love you have for a complete stranger's baby. My friend (sheesh, I need to give her a name!) is not a Freeper, and is in awe over your response to this prayer request. So, thanks much!!
OK...here ya go. This was emailed to me a little bit ago.
Logan is doing great this evening. He has gained a little weight, is at 1 lb 8.4 oz... almost his birthweight. He is not longer on the ventalator, only in an oxygen forced isolette. They are increasing the amount of his mommy's milk that they give him every 3 hours to 13cc's. They have found a small hernia, but are not alarmed about it. They will take care of that later,..... down the road unless it becomes absolutely necessary. At the present time, they have reviewed his chart and consider him "stable". !!
Prayers do work miracles! The only great concern is that he might pop an infection, so they are watching him very close for that.
Please extend our thanks to ALL..... and ask that they continue to pray for him. He has a very long road ahead of him, but he's such a fighter.... they're even going to use him as a "premie poster child" in the hospital to give
others hope. Isn't that wonderful? It is a proven fact that anglo boy babies have the least chance of survival.... but little Logan is beating the odds
so far. The medical staff has marveled at how he's doing to date.
Prayers.... purely the power of prayer and the hands of those caring for him that has made this possible.

hello Gramma,
this one hits right at home for me; my son Andrew is but a week old today, and had some troubles for which I posted a prayer request here on Freep, and recieved a blessed response. Though born full term, Andrew was in the premature ICU ward - which afforded me the chance to see not just these "little" warriors (little only in size, but quite the fighters!), but the extraordinary degree of care shown by the medical staff. Truly, our Lord works through these wonderful souls, and for the children.
My prayers are with you and yours, please keep us posted.
God Bless,
Juan

Thank you for the ping. Great news.

Thanks for the update BG. I have a miracle neice who was born 2 months premature. She weighed 1 lb 14 ounces and her heart was beating so hard and fast in her fight for life that she felt like she was vibrating when I held her. She's nine now and doing great!
