Prayer Request for A Tiny Baby (Update in post #12850)
Myself | 8-11-03 | Brad's Gramma

Posted on 08/11/2003 12:57:30 PM PDT by Brad’s Gramma

If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. He’s the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.

Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2” long.

He’s a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that he’s starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.

I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious…and this is her reply…” A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.”

On a personal note, I’ve read the emails daily from my friend. I’ve known her for years, I’ve heard her talking about her family for years…but I’ve got to tell you that I’m SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.

Father God, we lift up Logan’s little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until he’s grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Fellow Freepers…….I bring you Logan!!!

Checking in from beautiful sunny CA. Eaker & I spent 5.5 wonderful hours with TC, Faith and Joel yesterday.

One of us will give a full report when we get back home.

I would like to ask every one to definitely add Joel to your prayers. He has his hands full and is still a cheerful, wonderful man.

Thank you so much for this news, TheMom.
Prayers without ceasing have been going forth for TC and Faith and Joel.
Reminding them of this beautiful song of the 1950's,
I add the fact it was my Senior High School Class Song..:)

You´ll Never Walk Alone

When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark.

At the end of the storm
There's a golden sky
And the sweet silver
Song of a lark.

Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Though your dreams
Be tossed and blown.

Walk on
Walk on
With hope in your hearts
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone.

Walk on
Walk on
. . . . . . . .

Lamentations 3: 22-23 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, His mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning; Great is Thy faithfulness.

How wonderfully true that is, Sandrat!
We are so blessed as His Children to be able to keep taking forward steps without fear, knowing each one is toward Him, and His promises!

Well, I can see I've stayed away too long. What a handsome young man.

Here's someone else in her Halloween getup.

In case you can't tell, she (Miss V that is, the older gal is her mother) went as La niña de una mamacita Mexicana).

Did you like her costume TT?

We kind of think so, and surely Grandma and Grandpa aren't biased or anything. :)

Here's another pic, this one shows her in the "Monkey Dress" that her Grandma made for her. It was actually a practice dress for her Christening Gown, which she'll be using a week from Saturday. Both sets of Grandparents, plus half of her living Great Grandparents (my Mom) will all be there for the event, and for Thanksgiving the following week.

I think her Dad, who really likes monkeys, really got a kick out of the dress. The material was bought for her, but before we knew she was a she.

The link is the picture, unless I download it and upload it somewhere else. But here's the larger version, which might work.

Sometimes you need earplugs. She's got a great set of lungs, and isn't shy about using them.

Brad's Gramma is going to try to post some of the pictures here, but hasn't yet done so. Check back later.

Yes, someone did have a birthday, and his Mom had one the next day. :) He was in San Diego for both birthdays and couldn't call her at a decent hour. Then Friday he couldn't get a hold of her, she was staying at his brother's because the brother was in Las Vegas celebrating his anniversary (a bit late) and she was staying with her two younger (16+ and 14) grandkids, so didn't get to wish her a happy birthday until Saturday, 3 days late.

But she is coming to Central Texas next Thursday, for Miss V's Christening and Thanksgiving. It will only be her 4th or 5th time to fly in her 78 years. Direct flight from Omaha to DFW. Her daughter in law will pick her up at the airport and bring her to Killeen.
