He's come to the wrong place with the wrong plan.
"We're all scratching our heads over why the president would attempt to use the 'Aspen' fire as a political stage for his Healthy Forests Initiative," said Brian Segee of the Tucson-based Center for Biological Diversity.

The president's plan for thinning trees and clearing underbrush on 20 million acres of forest land in the West has been under attack by environmentalists and some forestry and policymaking officials since he unveiled it one year ago in a similar setting, the aftermath of an Oregon wildfire.Good news Ping. here. How's AZfire going EBUCK?

Green looks would rather see the forest burned than a single tree sold and turned into useful lumber. Someone might make a profit on that...

No, no. Not being critical, my post was just for info because comments on other thread are pertinent. Sorry I was misunderstood.

Welcome and thanks for the post. Even if it was the same article (which it wasn't) doing a search doesn't insure that it wasn't posted previously because newspaper editors can change headlines. Also (and speaking strictly as an observer), though FR frowns on exactly duplicate posts, duplicates posted many hours apart often stay just because the sheer volume of posts means they will scroll off the bottom of many pages and not be read.

It sounds exactly like what happened in Oregon a year+ ago.
Thanks to the Watermelon Jihadists's policies big uncontrollable fires have happened. Now in Arizona like in Oregon, the anti human Watermelon Jihadists don't even want trees killed by their fires harvested.

Further, the plan limits public involvement in shaping forest policy and puts constraints on court challenges, the center and such environmental groups as the Sierra Club, Southwest Forest Alliance and Wilderness Society contend. Understand that this is the "moderate" wing of the No room for humans crowd.
