DEMOCRAT SPOKESMAN WARNS OF 'REAL BULLETS' AGAINST ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER
**Exclusive Details**
California Democratic Party Spokesman Bob Mulholland this weekend warned Arnold Schwarzenegger that "real bullets" will be coming his way during his campaign to be governor!
"Schwarzenegger is going to find out, that unlike a Hollywood movie set, the bullets coming at him in this campaign are going to be real bullets and he is going to have to respond to them," warned Mulholland in an interview with a camera crew from ABC NEWS.
MORE
"[Wife] Maria [Shriver] has been very concerned about Arnold's safety, her family has a history with assassination, you know," a source with direct ties to the movie star told the DRUDGE REPORT from Los Angeles.
"Mr. Mulholland and his talk of 'real bullets' with Arnold's name on them is reckless and not acceptable political discourse. He should be fired immediately, if the Democrats have any conscience."
The stunning threat from Mulholland, who rose to fame in 1992 after exposing how Republican Senate candidate Bruce Herschensohn visted a strip joint in Hollywood, comes as the historic recall election moves in to high gear -- and Schwarzenegger takes the lead in the polls.
Mullholland could not be reached for comment Sunday night.

I agree with all of you but this one aspect aggravates me:
This may have the unintended consequence of uniting Republicans behind a candidate who is neither qualified nor ideologically suitable to be a **Republican** governor of California.
Be careful that your highly appropriate outrage against the Dem does not lead you to support a candidate who is against most of what you believe.

It's so nice seeing the democruds continuing to be utter idiots--even udder idiots--what milk-sop.
I suspect if they keep up this strategy, the citizens will rally behind the NONpolitician
by the millions REGARDLESS of the dirt on Arnold.
Most people know they've not been lily white either. And they are eager to cheer a non-politician serious about cleaning up the mountains of manure in Sacramento.
Let it be so, as aids your Kingdom and California, oh, Lord, please!

And that description of the democruds is exceedingly mild and polite, IMHO.

Wow, now there's an impressive claim to fame. This Mulholland is a first class ass.

My Mom thinks it is great he is running and so do my three kids! Even I feel like moving back to CA to vote for him. My mom is moving out of Calif. later this month, but keeping her PO Box (legal mailing address) for a few more months. "Technically" she'll still be a Calif. resident, as far as voter registration is concerned.
She just might vote for Arnold anyway. If the illegal aliens can vote, what the hell?

Seeing Arnold do battle with his competitors in Pumping Iron leads me to believe he's as cutthroat as any sleazoidDemocrat hack.
He's an American hero.

I agree. It's just nonsensical--particularly at this point--to construe Arnold as anything else but winning big. And the most supportive thing other Republicans could do is rally behind Arnold and make the pressure on the democruds horrid and the support
and PRESSURE for Arnold to
REALLY SHRED AND OVERHAUL POLITICS AS USUAL--ENORMOUS PRESSURE FOR GOOD.

No, I don't need a "dose of reality"...I'm a Republican, and Ahnuld isn't in my book....Don't go pedantic on me; I'm a realist.
If (hopefully) his ego does the right thing and takes a dump, he'll steer the herd to McClintock.
This whole stupid recall thang shouldn't have happened in the first thing, in my opinion. We should have all let Davis stew in the morass and THEN we would have gotten a swing. As it is, even in the best case scenario, we'll just be looking at a rerun-of-a-recall in another year....only this time run by professionals (Rats)
Got it yet?

It's a moot point that he's not anywhere close to the conservative we'd hope for.
His NONpolitician somewhat conservative status is STILL likely to be the most potent thing available against the corruption and evil in Sacramento.
It will NOT WORK to assume, pretend, fantasize that someone else will win over Arnold.
It is NOT Arnold's nature to back out.
Face reality and go with Arnold to get rid of Grey Sewer Water. That's a lot better than none of the pie.

I don't think your analysis and assessment are very accurate at all--understandable and understandably emotional to a point--but I don't think they are very accurate.
McClintock may be a saint in our terms--but short of SEVERAL MIRACLES BY GOD ALMIGHTY--he's NOT going to win over Arnold and Arnold's not going to deliver any significant percentage of any vote to McClintock in any kind of scenario short of extremely bizaare and super miraculously driven. The best/worst McClintock can do is some slight risk of causing Grey Sewerwater to avoid falling in the recall. What a horror that would be.
