If a queer assaults someone for being normal, is it a hate crime?

Such peaceful pro-homosexual clergy. I guess the poor victim will have a movie made about this hate crime perpetrated upon him.

They don't want tolerance. They want total domination.

I bet that's how he got off from the touching charges.

This morning my pastor metioned that an openly gay congressman was adressing the UN about boycotts on countries that do not tolerate sodomites, and he said that religion gets in the way of the homosexual agenda. Then a professor from Princeton University suggested that they should limit religious freedoms.

I'm a fan of David Virtue, but he sometimes overstates things. This is such an odd story, that I wonder whether the "nearly came to blows" part is inaccurate.

That said, I can certainly believe that there are clergy who would get right in his face to denounce him.

Indeed, I seem to recall a passage in Genesis that sounds eerily familiar:

But he insisted so strongly that they did go with him and entered his house. He prepared a meal for them, baking bread without yeast, and they ate. Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom-both young and old-surrounded the house. They called to Lot, "Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them." (Genesis 19:3-5)

As a matter of fact, the Old Testament flavor of this whole mess is too obvious to ignore.....

__________

From Matthew 7

"Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is easy, that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. 14 For the gate is narrow and the way is hard, that leads to life, and those who find it are few.

Wonder if "bishop" Robinson ever read the above?

15 "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.

ECUSA? "Bishop" Robinson??

16 You will know them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thorns, or figs from thistles? 17 So, every sound tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears evil fruit. 18 A sound tree cannot bear evil fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus you will know them by their fruits. 21

Wonder how we can apply the above from Matthew to the following statement:

He said his reply did not go down well with his colleagues who then grabbed him and threatened to beat him up before members of the public noticed the commotion and came to his rescue.

Indeed, we can know them by their fruits...

Oh, yeah. More of that love and tolerance from those who preach it the loudest, huh? Hypocrites!

After reading this, I have to sing praise for the church we attended today. We have been looking for a church home and before we did, hubby and I discussed about how it would be nice to know ahead of time people's views on the issues of the day in the church, since that will likely give you a good idea of just how "Bible-believing" they are. God answered us today when one of the first orders of the day was to discuss, without specific names, the unbiblical event that took place this week in a major Christian congregation. Every person in the congregation nodded their heads in agreement. It was such a joy to find a pastor and church who were not afraid to voice their displeasure and comment on current events. It was nice to walk in a church and know exactly which way they lean--in the directio of the Holy Bible:-)
