It is a contradiction to be fiscally conservative and socially liberal: The two are mutually exclusive. If one is fiscally conservative one must necessarily be opposed to spending money on programs that support socialist aims, because such progams are not only overly expensive, but they are usually bankrupting. Arnold is not a conservative on any issue; he is only "moderately" moderate; he is primarily on the left and is, at the end of the day, a socialist.

Sadly, I think the guy is well intentioned & just foolish about this personal principles-weak is the word which comes to mind.
