"There are absolutely no grounds for considering homosexual unions to be in any way similar or even remotely analogous to God's plan for marriage and family," "Marriage is holy, while homosexual acts go against the natural moral law."

They got that 100% right.

There has been a long and often close relationship between
the Anglican and Catholic Churches. In certain situations
there remains a mutual recognition of the validity of key
doctrines, liturgies, and practices. And the Catholic
Church continues to hold the faith and moral teachings as
taught by the Apostles.

In 1980 the Holy See, in response to requests from priests
and laity of the Episcopal Church who were seeking full
communion with the Catholic Church, created a Pastoral
Provision to provide them with special pastoral attention.
It also authorized the establishment of personal parishes
in dioceses of the United States in response to the request
of former faithful of the Episcopal Church in which they
may retain certain liturgical elements proper to the
Anglican tradition. This Anglican Use liturgy uses the
Book of Common Prayer (with minor updates) for the Mass.
So there is no need to lose the liturgy Anglicans are
familiar with. This Mass is valid for all Catholics as well.

Under the Provision the ordination of married Episcopal
priests was made possible as well. Since 1983, close to 100
former Episcopal ministers have been ordained for priestly
ministry in Catholic dioceses of the United States; several
AU parishes have been established and the Book of Divine
Worship has been authorized.

You're the ping guy for the Episcopal list, right? I thought you would like to see this.

Pat! You said it right! I'm delighted you finally found an issue I agree with you about. As for the dissulution of the Anglican Church, it's all part of Lenin's basic plan--to undermine the morality and culture of America. The problem is, it's working well.

"As for the Episcopal faithful, they have little choice but to break communion. For if Robinson is morally qualified to be bishop, then Scripture is wrong. If Scripture is right, Robinson is a reprobate. You cannot teach it both ways."

The vote says more about those voting than it does about the 'reprobate'. Time for a 'protestant' revolt among the Episcopal faithful.

Pat hits another one out. The more one reads what Pat actually says the closer we will be to the truth.

Today my family suffered through a justification (long-winded and weak) as to why our bishop voted for the gay-bishop. Everything Buchanan wrote is true--the "bishop" is more a study in spinelessness than bravery. I felt like reminding the minister today that Jesus gave his approval to marriage by attending a wedding at Cana and turning water into wine. Note that the miracle was NOT that he turned the bride into a man! And the usual excuse for condoning others ("caste not the first stone unless you are without sin") is a good way to end up letting anything go and keeping oneself from striving to improve in one's own life.

As usual, the people who are asked for "unity" and "tolerance" are the people who would have to sacrifice their core beliefs to first "tolerate", the "accept", then "celebrate the diverisity" of not only those who do things which are considered deviant, but the very defiant acts themselves. I don't think I've ever heard gays asked to contain their in-your-face behavior for the sake of "unity" or "tolerance" of those who find their behavior abhorrent.

The Episcopalians have begun their slide down the slippery slope and this is the end of the church which has been the historical backbone of the United States. The public acceptance of homosexuality is the line in the sand in the war between right and wrong in this country. This is more than just about "culture". This is about absolutes. It seems now that almost every divisive problem facing this country has a homosexual angle to it (Boy Scouts, education, church conflict, gays in the military, vulgarity in media, affirmative action, etc.) It's time we take back our schools, our churches, our courts, and our country. A quick watching of "Caligula" is a reminder of what happens to a people when the other side wins.

[V. "Selfish Gene"] Robinson is being portrayed in the prestige [sic!] press as a man of moral courage [sic!!!]."

The REAL stories of moral courage are about orthodox Christian believers who are opposing the gay cabal!!!

The "prestige" press is really the New World Order press, like the lying New World Order Times of Jayson Blair fame!!! They lied and lied about Serbian Christians, blaming them for all sorts of atrocities that were in reality visited on them by the "prestige" press' favorites, the muslim extremists of the Balkans. They lied about Greek Orthodox Christians and others who stood up for the Serbs out of Christian love, and said that they were "supporting war criminals just because they are Orthodox".

Now they've switched their lying focus from Orthodox to Protestants, tarring faithful confessional Protestant Christians with the "bigot" label, and glorifying the gay Judas who is working to overthrow the authority of scripture, and to cut off orthodox Episcopalians from the apostolic faith.

It's pretty clear that the New World Order elite, including their media outlets, intend to destroy apostolic Christianity!!!!! At least some of them are working at the UN to set up a "United Religions", with a New World Order religion to replace it--as well as replacing Judaism and other historic faiths.

I myself have read (but fortunately did not hear in person) a perfect New World Order Religon sermon from one of the Episcopal bishops who has been pushing the gay agenda!!! (It basically extolled a generic form of "religion" rather than the Gospel of Jesus Christ.) So the New World Order Religion, as well as the gay agenda, has infected the apostate branch of the Episcopal Church!!!

Well, this article is spot on. It's nice to see that even Pat Buchanan can goose-step into the truth every once in a while...

Having failed to conform his life to scriptural command, Robinson now demands that Scripture be reinterpreted to conform to his deviant life style. To see Robinson elevated to bishop is to be reminded that in the French Revolution, the Paris mob used the high altar at Notre Dame Cathedral to canonize the town tramp as their Goddess of Reason.

Revolutionaries do not change.
