"I am for McClintock.
Make of it what you will."

Nobody is right all the time?
To: FairOpinion
If Richard Riordan was so smart, why couldn't he pretend he didn't detest Republicans during that party's primary?
To: habs4ever
Pathetic post.
And what's this crap about losing games, eh? We've put RINOs up and they've been demolished.
To: ambrose
Maybe Arnold should also get Willie Brown, Maxine Waters, Pete Stark, Henry Waxman, and especially Barbara Boxer (the beneficiary of Riordan campaign contributions) on his "issues team".

when that will result in the election of a leftist like Bustamente to finish the destruction of California. So you would prefer Schwarzenegger to finish the destruction of California? Personally, I don't think it matters which liberal Democrat finishes the destruction of California. Davis, Schwarzenegger, Bustamante, Riordan - - who cares? I just hope it hurrys up and happens soon so maybe I can witness a civilized state rise from the ashes.
To: Lancey Howard
It's easy for you to say that, you don't live in CA, I do.

Ping -- in case you haven't seen it.

Purists lose. You can't even influence a RINO if you lose, but being a chest thumping loser is so much more fun.Yeah, that crappy thing called pragmatism gets in the way of your wet dream of a McClintock or "true" conservative Governor.
You haven't put up a 'RINO' like Arnie before, have you? One that turns the electorate on and energizes people, have you? There are RINOS then they are moderates.
You would have made a good judge at the Salem witch trials.
To: FairOpinion
It's easy for you to say that, you don't live in CA, I do.Huh?
You're the one who talked about a "leftist....finishing the destruction of California", not me. If you want that leftist to be Schwarzenegger, helped along by Riordan, then vote for him. Like I said, I don't care which liberal Democrat does it.

You would have made a good judge at the Salem witch trials.
Why, thank you. You're such a sweetie. (kisses)
Your posts speak volumes about you. Congrats. I have nothing to gain by talking with someone who can only speak in insults and inane ramblings. I've said plenty over the past years why conservatives can be better candidates than squishy RINOs/"moderates" (e.g., Simon vs Riordan). And I was pragmatic in choosing Simon (Riordan was in free-fall to Loserville). And yes, Arnold has a unique, decided advantage in this race with him being a big-time celebrity and this race is his to lose. But I'll leave asking one question related to your Salem claim...
So...uh...are you a floater or a sinker?
To: Zevonismymuse
Arnold will cut spending and cut taxes. If he says he is going to do those things, then I'll vote for him. Hell, if he ends up actually cutting our budget, I'll support amending our Constitution so that he can run for President and cut the federal budget too. But if he intends to cut spending and cut taxes, you must admit it ain't a good sign bringing Riordan on board.

(sorry...I can't help it ;-) )

You can say it all you want why those candidates COULD be better, but they aren't and the electorate doesn't care.Damn, you are DUMB! That's why you lose and still don't understand why you lose.
Try not to grovel as much at LP, too, will ya? You guys who play to the crowd too much are really sleazy. No one can trust your sincerity :)

McClintock ran better than Simon, has a clearer
vision, a proven track record, does not have
Simon's high negatives and is already
even ahead of Simon in the polls even
though has lower ID than Simon.
McClintock both is a stronger candidate than
Simon and would be a better Governor.
To: vbmoneyspender
you must admit it ain't a good sign bringing Riordan on board. This is a consiliatory move because Arnold and Riordan were playing political chess and Arnold pulled a brilliant move, shutting Riordan out of the race. Arnold had to toss Riordan a bone, after humiliating the old war horse, beating him at his own game. Arnold has really displayed an impressive amount of political savvy in the past few months. This is an extremely shrewd operator.
To: vbmoneyspender
you must admit it ain't a good sign bringing Riordan on board.Sure, why would one want to bring on board a Republican that can actually win in LA and bring in Democrat votes? Alienating voters is a much smarter strategy.

Last year Arnold helped a major of expansion
of goverment.
And he is not talking about cutting taxes or
spending. He only saying he want
to bring back business to the state to
pay for the social programs!
To: Zevonismymuse
Reagan was not a huge star that everyone knew
when he first ran. He was considered little
more than lamb being sent to slaughter
against an incumbent no one could beat.
But he ended up winning because of
the principles he ran on!
